Gal 5:1 - It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Gal 5:1 - It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Freedom is defined as 1. the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. 2. the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.
Who doesn’t like freedom? I mean truly no one likes to be a bound up and a slave to anything.....right?
First Taste of Freedom
First Taste of Freedom
So in the US some will say it was 245 years ago that we knew what freedom truly was. Our forefathers knew that freedom was what was needed for the people, but what did they know about freedom?
Adam and Eve, now they knew about freedom, given authority over everything, free to live life. But with all freedom there is maintenance. In Adam and Eves sense, it was a one single true in the middle of the land that they had freedom over. In our country it takes many brave men and women to uphold the law, keep people safe, defend the country, and lead the country.
Don’t Return to the old ways
Don’t Return to the old ways
In Gal 5:13 - “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”
When we take liberty of freedom as a mistake of liberty to do self will, we mix up autonomy with freedom. See in Christ we have been set free, the burdens and trials are no longer ours to bear on our own, but He bears them with us that we would never be alone. We have a freedom to receive by means of which we did not or can not earn.
We have a freedom to be free from our pains, suffering, loneliness, to be happy, laugh, have a purpose! All great attributes that we all have, with no exclusions. It is who creates our own exclusion.
This all sounds great, except often we turn back to our old ways, pride, ego, jealousy, wickedness, wrath, anger, and being subjected to no one but our own selves.
In Christ we receive the ticket to do so, even that is free, but with all the good aspects of freedom makes you wonder why would we give that up?
Freedom is Where Ever You take Him!
Freedom is Where Ever You take Him!
2 Cor 3:17 - “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
With Joshua there was a promise that where ever he would Go God would be with him. It never said that Joshua would have to be perfect, be sinless, or have no fault ever again. It was meant that Where Joshua gave up the burdens and chains of life, to allow God break those chains and knock down walls!
There is a peace, that is second to none when it comes to the freedom of which is promised.
When we allow God into our world and lives, and His spirit dwells with in us, there is a freedom that its banner never ceases to fly, never goes dim, and does not diminish.

Conclusion
God showed us what perfect freedom looks like when we read His word. But our freedom isn’t timed, Its maintenance depends on us. So we must stay diligent to not turn back to the things that held us down in bondage, and be a service man with God! When He is on your side, and He is for you, than who can be against you? Freedom is ours, it has many areas that it covers. Today when you celebrate the freedom of today, remember to celebrate a special freedom that was declared for you! Blessings to you all, and remember....
PRAYER!
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
