Spiritual Vitality of the children of God, the Church.

· Holy and blameless; without spot or blemish; (Eph. 5:27)

· The salt of the earth; a city on a hill; the light of the world. (Mt. 5:13-14)

· Given the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven; Hell’s power unable to prevail. (Mt. 16:18-19)

· Abundant, full life. (John 10:10)

· A peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:14)

God inspects the vine for the fruit of His grace. (John 15) - Is God disappointed?

(Expected results – actual results = fulfillment or disappointment.)

FALSE IDEA – true fulfillment is self-fulfillment. This is the expectation of a carnal mind.

TRUE PRINCIPLE – true fulfillment is God’s fulfillment (doing that which pleases God).

The right-side-up Christian life is centered around Christ: “Deny self”/ “lose life for My sake” are all words of Jesus Christ.

An Examination & Diagnosis (vital signs)

· Spiritual Vitality

· A faint pulse? A WANT TO WANT TO

· A form without power. There is a body but no spirit. (2 Tim. 3:5)

How to treat the problem: Colossians 3:1-4

The course of action.

A. Start with the NEED(s). What is lacking?

B. Pray to receive from above.

C. Take immediate ACTION. Step forward in obedience.

o Trust and rely upon the promises of God.

D. WAIT for a time of refreshing from the Lord.

Experience the promise of the lord.

John 4:14 “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears

My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him

and will dine with him, and he with Me.”

(Jesus, Christ) – Revelation 3:20
