Let’s look at the Decision!!

The call to each of us is to make to make a decision for the Lord Jesus Christ! The same call Joshua had for the people of Israel is the same call for you and me today

Joshua 24:14 NCV

14 Then Joshua said to the people, “Now respect the Lord and serve him fully and sincerely. Throw away the gods that your ancestors worshiped on the other side of the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord.

The scripture is straightforward. This is a challenge to take immediate action, to get right with God ! You must make the decision:

See - To respect God means to stand in awe;

To respect God means to revere or have reverence for him;

To respect God means to be frightened or intimidated by him

To respect God means to; to have a deep sense of honor for him

To respect God means to worship him .

The decision is to recognize the honor due God through his son Jesus Christ!

The decision to respect God means to surrender your life to serve him

When you really respect God you obey God’s commands!

So The decision is to respect God

The decision is to worship God

The decision is to - Surrender your life to God

The decision is to Obey God’s commandments

The decision is to live in a manner that is pleasing to God

It’s a choice

Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT

19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

It’s a personal decision each of us must make! God will not force you to choose! It has to be your decision!

He is making a presentation to each of us!

Look at your life! is it truly where you want it to be!

Look at your life! Are you bound by things in this world and you want to be set free!

Look at your life - have some decisions you’ve made created anxiety, depression!

Look at your life - are you tired? Tired of people disappointing you, hurting you, betraying you

Look at your life - are you operating in fear, chaos and confusion?

Look at your like are you hiding things about yourself that you are afraid to let others know and it’s wearing you down!

Look at your life - you know excessive drinking, drugs, and distractions have not taken away the hurt or pain you are experiencing

Look at your life - do you feel alone, even though you are around a lot of people

Do you want to be set free to enjoy God and the things of God!

Give It To God

7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

I was talking to a brother recently and the conversation was around how he didn’t feel like he was good enough!

He worked hard on his job and felt unappreciated! He could never do enough for his wife! He looked in the mirror and could not see himself! He pondered the question as to whether any of this was worth it!

Another young man shared just how hard it is to figure out what he wanted to do with his life! He said some people know, some graduate from high school get a scholarship in sports - they know that they want to be in the NBA or NFL - but not everyone knows what the want to do!

one young lady - married wanted to have children and just couldn’t conceive! She was stressed and worried that God was punishing her for something she did before....

Rise Up - Andra Day

there is a song - that as I researched was written as a prayer by this young lady who was praying for herself during a difficult time in her life!
