Risk is the way forward!
17 “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”
I know many people who have been in the same kind of relationships or situations several times.
The same bad things keep happening to us.
How do we get out of this trapped hell of same disappointments?
A man who is head over heals in love with a woman and then things dont work out for some reason or another. The next time he meets a woman he does not let himself fall in love so easy. Maybe he guards his heart in ways that feel like they keep him safer. Then he finally lets his heart fall in love. That relationship did not work out either because by the time he let himself fall in love she had already closed her heart. The nest relationship gets even harder and he never lets this person in fully.
What is needed here?
Healing and forgivness.
We were and are in a time of stillness and rest.
Restoring of trust.
For many people, this is a time of healing and walking through forgiveness.
The next level of healing comes with risk.

14 When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is a lunatic and is very ill; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 “I brought him to Your disciples, and they could not cure him.” 17 And Jesus answered and said, “You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” 20 And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

The father of the son who was overtaken by demons took many risks.
He took the final risk in asking Jesus for help even though he just got help from Jesus other disciples.
We need to make ourselves like a little child who takes risks with their hearts with out fear or worry.
The difference is that we have experiences that caused pain and we may be stuck in those patterns of pain.
Maybe your not in pain but you are stuck in the same patterns of mundane.
Maybe the only things you look forward too are the things you know you can control the outcome of.
This is not the Kingdom of heaven living Jesus came to give.
Last week we heard about being in a season of leaves.
We are creating a testimony of God’s Love in action in our lives.
We are in that season of healing and trust.
We are in a season of walking out forgiveness.
We are in a season of listening and trusting God.
We are also in a season of mastering who we are.
Mastering our craft or gifts.
You master your gifts by taking risks.
Closing:
Risk is the way forward to our healing and wholeness in Christ.
Holy Spirit is asking us to take risks full of faith in Jesus to move into the fullness of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Risk is the way forward!
Make yourselves like a child with your heart.
Do things without expectations of your past experiences.

7 After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8 “And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us; 9 and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. 10 “Now therefore why do you put God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? 11 “But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are.”
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.
