Morning Must Come Psalm 30:5
Joy means singing -
Night of darkness represents weeping, morning represents joy. One good thing - night doesn't last forever. No matter how long the night, or how dark the night, morning is going to come. Tray as hard as you might to keep it dark, morning is going to come. You can't hold it back the sun will rise, I like how the songwriter said several years ago, "The Sun's coming up in the Morning." Nothing, I Mean NOTHING can stop the sun from rising from morning coming.
Psalm 46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. That word early means- when the morning cometh.
I like that!!! There is a poetic reference here is as the day turned away from us at night, then turned about toward us in the morning, after having gone, as it were to the greatest distance from us.
This scripture makes me think of several stories;
Joseph when he wrestled an angel - at the break of day Jacob prevailed with God and became Israel and Got his blessing
Hezekiah and his trouble with Senecharib in Isaiah 37 - King Senecharib of the Assyrians sent a letter defying God and his power. Promising to destroy Hezekiah and his people. Hezekiah takes the letter into the temple and shows it to God, and God takes care of the situation. I like how the Bible puts it in Isaiah 37:36
Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
I think of that dark night nearly two thousand years ago where they put Christ in the tomb and rolled the stone over it. I've seen those families standing and sitting in the little pavilions in the graveyard who just seem to have lost everything, who seem to not think there will ever be a tomorrow, I have a feeling that's kind of how those disciples felt. But then came Mary and the women very early in the morning there is that morning again, they went to the tomb and found the stone rolled away the tomb empty Jesus had came out alive conquering death hell and the grave. Showing us there will always be victory thru Jesus morning will always come it has too.
There are several instances of the morning appearing in our lives that I want to preach about a little this morning.
1. The dawn upon the sinner's heart, - when the light of heaven breaks through the darkness of hell.
A. Brother Hayden Lorton
B. An Indian many years ago was in the middle of the road one afternoon praising and glorifying God. This pilgrim walked up and asked, "Mr. Indian why are you praising the Lord, what has He done for you?
The Indian didn't say a word he just knelt down and started to dig a trench: then he looked around and saw a worm and he picked it up and dropped him in the middle of the trench. Then he got some sticks and twigs and brown leaves and put it around the trench and the worm. He struck a match and lit till the worm was surrounded by the fire. The worm was trapped in the trench with the fire all around him and getting closer all the time. Just as the flames were just about to do the little worm in the Indian knelt down and scooped him up and saved him. Then he looked at the Pilgrim with tears steaming down his face and said... THIS... IS WHAT ME GOD DONE FOR ME>
2. Morning light of Holiness
3. Morning Light in the life of the believer
A. Thru tunnels and valleys dark places in life - I think of Paul in the ship wreck he held on and wished for the day. I've been there where all you could do is hang on and wait for God to come thru, and you know what, GOD HAS NEVER FAILED TO COME THROUGH> HALLELUJAH>
B. In the pits and prisons Paul and Silas praying at midnight but God came through morning came in a sweeping revival.
C. At The river of death.
Are you in the dark this morning, maybe one of these nights I've mentioned this morning, I want to tell you that no matter how dark the night, how cold the air, how evil it is it cannot i repeat cannot hold back the sun from coming up from the morning coming. It is going to shine. As sure as there is a God in the heavens, and a sun burning in the sky there is going to be a morning. There is a verse in Genesis that I often find comforting Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Weeping may endure for the night but hang on brother, hang in there sister JOY Singing shouting rejoicing is coming, in the morning. and morning is coming. HALLELUJAH>
