What Did They Hear?

Our passage teaches us faith comes by hearing.

Faith does not come by preaching.

Hearing comes by preaching, but faith comes by hearing. We know what was preached Romans 10:8-9, but the question is what was heard. Hearing requires preaching, but it is not the preaching that generates the faith. Rather faith comes by hearing the preaching.

What you hear is what creates faith.

What did they hear?

It is possible to hear the same message and not hear the same message Hebrews 4:2.

When a person hears, what was said creates meaning.
