Pre-Sermon Ice-Breaker
Driving down a country road a man comes upon a priest and a rabbi standing on the shoulder of the road, fishing. Next to them is a sign that reads. “Turn around. The end is near!” The driver didn’t like being preached to, so he rolled down the window and yelled, “Mind your own business, You religious nuts!” A few seconds later the two men fishing hear screeching tires, then a splash. The rabbi turns to the priest and said, “I told ;you we should have just written, “Bridge closed on the sign.”

Famous last words...
Humphrey Bogart to Lauren Bacall - “Goodbye kid, Hurry back.”
Todd Beamer, passenger on flight 93 - “Let’s roll!”
Winston Churchill - “I’m bored with it all.”
Father Christopher would often ask a family, “What was the last thing your love one said to you?”
It seemed that often their answer provided comfort and meaning.
In Court last words hold a special significance they are sometimes referred to as a dying declaration.
In Mark 16:15 we find some the last words Jesus utters before his ascension into heaven. Jesus last Sermon. What he says should be important to us.
Throughout 2021 we have engaged in the 2021 Scripture Memory Challenge. During the month of June our theme has been “All.” Each of the passages have included the word All.
Philippians 4;19, Romans 8:28, Proverbs 3:5-6, and today Mark 16:15.
Many Bible translations do not include Mark 16:9-20 or include a disclaimer saying that “the earliest manuscripts and some other witnesses do not have Mark 6:9-20.
Let me uncategorically state that I reject teaching that call into question the veracity of Scripture. Time will not allow me to dig deeply into this matter. But we should note that manuscripts fall into two families Alexandrian or Antioch. One finds its base in Egypt (Traditionally opposed to the gospel) the other in Antioch (the heart of the gospel) There are only 45 manuscripts in the Alexandrian line, while there are more than 5,200 in the Antioch line. There is much more that we could look at, but suffice it to say I trust the King James Bible that I hold in my hand to be the Inerrant, Inspired, Infallible and preserved Word of God. Truth without any mixture of error.
Mark writes the shortest of the Gospels, a key word is immediately. Mark 1 includes Jesus 1st Sermon and Mark 16 ends with Jesus last Sermon. In Mark 16:15 Jesus speaks about Missions. When Jesus speaks about missions, He speaks about...

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Notice the Word Go - it is the Greek word Poreuomai (Poor-u-o-my) It is used 154 times in the Bible.
Jesus never intended us to be locked behind doors of fear, he intended us to Go.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
We spend too much time talking about evangelism and too little time doing evangelism. We must go!
23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
Many obstacles will arise that will attempt to thwart you in your desire to share. We read in the book of Acts where the apostles were thrown into prison for preaching the gospel. But the angel of the Lord open the prison doors and brought them forth and said,
20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
You and I should put the Go in GOSPEL!

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
See the Word Gospel - In the Greek it is the word Euangelion (E-lon-gel-eon) from this we get the word Evangel, Evangelist, and Evangelism. it appears 98 Times in the New Testament.
Jesus includes it in his first sermon recorded in Mark 1:15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
It means Good News. The Gospel is Good News. What is the Gospel or the Good News about Jesus. We find this most clearly articulated by Paul.
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
This is our message. And we should be eager, dare I say proud to share what Jesus has done. Paul writes to the church in Rome and says.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Finally I want you to see this word -World. It is the Greek word Kosmos. It literally speaks of the world, the universe, and all of us who are in it. It is the same word which is used in John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
It is what Jesus means when he shares the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
And it is narrowed down in Acts 1:8
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Some would have us to believe that Baptism is a part of the Gospel, that we must be baptized in order to be saved. That is not what Mark 16:16 teaches. Notice that believeth is included twice in this passage.
Baptism is not a requirement of salvation, but a natural response to it.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
I say all this to say. That our number 1 responsibility when we hear the words of Christ is to obey.
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Are you keeping his words.
Today we have looked at Missions. Jesus has spoken about Our Method, Our Message, and Our Mission Field. The question now is will we obey his words.
