The Second Beast

11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, 14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. 16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

Many people have speculated on what is the exact nature of the mark of the beast. Same say it an implanted chip view, an ID card, a microchip, a barcode, tattooed into the skin, or simply a mark that identifies someone as being faithful to the Antichrist’s kingdom. Some speculated that there was a connection to June 6, 2006—06/06/06 but before we can understand the mark we must understand the beast.

1. The first Beast is the Anti-Christ

Vs1 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. 2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. John begins to see the spirits in operating behind the scenes This is the spiritual realm connecting itself to the physical realm. The first beast empowers the Anti-Christ

e.g. Isaiah 14 12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12 -18 these two passages are referring specifically to the kings of Babylon and Tyre, they also reference the spiritual power behind those kings

2. The whole world worship the dragon

Vs4 And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

Some translations says “him” but the Greek word autou is neuter so the best translation would be “it”

So the people knew that they were worshiping a spiritual being. This world will never become atheistic.

My question for you is this “who are you giving your worship too?”

3. The second beast is the false prophet

Vs 11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worshipthe first beast, whose mortal wound was healed.

According to Rev 16:13 : 19;20 the second beast is the false prophet

Now you have an unholy Trinity – Anti Christ whose beast came out of the sea, false prophet whose beast came out of the earth and you have the dragonwho sits on his throne.

The Holy Trinity – The Spirit who move upon the sea, Jesus who walk on the earthand The father who sits on his throne.

Job 40 : 15 Behemothwho is located on earth is under the lotus plant next to a river 41 :1 Leviathan who is located in the sea

Rev 16: 13 Three unclean spirits like frogs coming out their mouths.

Rev 16:13 And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.

4. The false prophet create a one world religion.

The false prophet create a one world religion and commands the world to build an image/ idol of the first beast for worship.

The breathis the Greek word pneuma which also means spirit. God is the only one that gives life. Therefore, this a demonic activity. In Trinidad we call it mounting an object.

Do you have idols at you home? They are demonic images of demonic spirits

5. The mark of the beast

The word mark is the Greek word Charagma meaning, stamp, brand, image, any mark engraven or imprinted. That is taken on the forehead or the right hand

The mark of the beastis an anti-Shema, which is found in Deuteronomy Ch 6 . It represents prayer of allegiance. The forehead (thoughts) & hand (actions)

Some have calculated the number 666 using Gematria, a Jewish and Graeco-Roman art form, assigns numerical values to each letter of the alphabet and then totals the constituent letters of a given word. That sum is used to represent a person or thing.

The word beast adds up to 666 and Roman emperor Neron Caesar also adds up to 666. (he would have been a anti-Christ

Some Greek manuscripts the number is 616 but adds up to Nero Caesar the Latin spelling without the “N”

Hence the reason many bible scholars believe a second man like Nero is coming but he will be more brutal.

The mark of the beast is a religious marking, an anti-shema that will identify a person’s allegiance to the antichrist who is in charge of the world’s economic system and worship.
