Handout
Matthew 6:9–13
After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Genesis 1:1–5 (KJV 1900)
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
We see here in the first step of creation a God Day. It started in dark and revealed in His time His plan. Here is a basic points of a God day.

Creative Word

“Let there be Light”.
Here are some examples of it still in effect now.

Salvation

Isaiah 48:8 (KJV 1900)
Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not;
Yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened:
For I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously,
And wast called a transgressor from the womb.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV 1900)
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Blessing,Gladness,Rejoicing, & Prosperity

Psalm 118:23–29 (KJV 1900)
This is the Lord’s doing; It is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: We have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: Bind the sacrifice with cords, Even unto the horns of the altar. Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: Thou art my God, I will exalt thee. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever.

Health

Proverbs 12:18 (KJV 1900)
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword:
But the tongue of the wise is health.

Effect

“and there was light”.
We must believe what we say, has an effect and needs our response , because it does. Here are some examples
Romans 10:9–10 (KJV 1900)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Luke 5:5 KJV 1900
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
At Jesus word and their response. Notice the fish did not jump in the boat but the effect of the word was, stop(effect), listen(evaluate), Decide (Divide) and receive the word blessing.

Evaluation

“And God saw the light that it was good”
James 1:17 (KJV 1900)
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Is the word good or bad, is my response good or bad. We need more honest evaluation without condemnation.
1 Peter 3:10–12 (KJV 1900)
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
Not all, but some of our days are bad because of our own words and deeds.

Divide

“and God divided the light from the darkness”
Deuteronomy 30:19–20 (KJV 1900)
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
We must know the difference between , our will and Christ. Between blessing and cursing because it is our daily choice. God Day or curse day.

Sovereign Naming

“ God called the light day, and the darkness he called night”
When we read in Prov 22:1 a good name is chosen, we understand this is more than just a proper name . It is also a description or reputation of the person.
Genesis 1:22 KJV 1900
And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
When God sets the standard”blessed or dominion” it will forever be(now in christ). Unless we fall like Adam.
Genesis 22:14 KJV 1900
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
Also here when Abraham named this location it wasn’t only a proper name of the area but a description of what was done here. So as we read in Gen 1:22 God begins to bless creation(description) but brings Adam in to name.
Genesis 2:19–20 (KJV 1900)
And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
Here we see God begin to transfer the power and dominion, by allowing man to take part in daily work. Naming. This is still in effect, what you bless will be blessed(inside the will of God). What you curse will be cursed. Jam 3:8-12 .

Numbering

“ And the evening and the morning were the first day”
Genesis 1:5 KJV 1900
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
This brings me a settling in my spirit “first day”. If we have a first, we know there are more. I need not worry how many days because I did not start and I will not sustain my days. Also it brings an order , first,second...... Sequence , frame of His work. So when we read Eph 4:26 “sun go down” is another day , don’t let passion of today get tangled into tomorrow . Some would say, what if it is the last ? I can not have a last day , because I already live in the last day Rev 1:11 . Jesus is my day, my author, my beginning , and my end. So I live everyday as “this is the day” Psa 118:24 .

Finish

Genesis 2:1–3 KJV 1900
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
