Pray

Country

I pledge- I commit by a solemn promise
Allegiance- commit loyalty or commitment
to the flag of the United States Of America- a representation to our country as a whole the flag stands for every American
to the republic for which it stands- is a nation where the people have supreme authority with their representatives as leadership with an elected President.
One nation- large body of people inhabiting a territory
- many cultures coming together under one flag
they came from many European nations to settle and eventually established our country
they freed themselves from the tyrannical power of Britain
but not without a fight
this one nation made up of different entities (States)
under a common law, common president,
and we need to be obeying these laws
Under God
Romans 13:1–2 LEB
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except by God, and those that exist are put in place by God. So then, the one who resists authority resists the ordinance which is from God, and those who resist will receive condemnation on themselves.
Paul tells us that we need to be in subjection to our governing authorities
why because these authorities are in place by God
His purpose is the reason they are in power
turn to Daniel 4
we under God, who controls
Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all
remember the Alamo
Boston Strong
Remember the twin towers
Remember the Maine 1898 we went to war with Spain
we as a nation of many different cultures have become united for a cause
the cause of liberty
and the desire that all men are equal

Christian Flag

lets look at the symbolism of the flag
White represents Purity, Holiness, Peace
all of these are results of being in the family of God
Robe of righteousness that is placed on us
the Holiness that the blood of Jesus made us
and the resulting peace with God that we have because Jesus took the wrath that was ment for us
Blue a symbol of Jesus and the work He did for us on the cross
Red cross a symbol of the shed blood on the cross for the atoning of sin
the flag as a whole represents the kingdom of God
the kingdom who’s king is King Jesus
the one who is worthy to open the scroll
Revelation 5:6–10 LEB
And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as though slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth. And he came and took the scroll from the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne. And when he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one of whom had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they were singing a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered, and bought people for God by your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation, and made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
the scroll is the the title deed to the earth
so we are pledging allegiance to King Jesus
because of His sacrifice on the cross we are able to have life
because we were born dead in sin
Ephesians 2:1 LEB
And you, although you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
and we were made alive
Ephesians 2:5 LEB
and we being dead in trespasses, he made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved),
and have Freedom ( liberty) in Christ
Galatians 5:1 LEB
For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
and we acquire all of this through our belief in the finished work on the cross
Ephesians 2:8–9 LEB
For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast.

The Bible

make a solemn promise to be loyal to keep Gods holy word as the highest standard in my life
a pledge to actively do what it says
James 1:22–25 LEB
But be doers of the message and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves, because if anyone is a hearer of the message and not a doer, this one is like someone staring at his own face in a mirror, for he looks at himself and goes away and immediately forgets what sort of person he was. But the one who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues to do it, not being a forgetful hearer but a doer who acts, this one will be blessed in what he does.
phrases that call the speaker to action
hide God’s word
might not sin
Psalm 119:11 LEB
In my heart I have hidden your word, so that I may not sin against you.
Psalm 119:105 LEB
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
make a pledge to study, understand, and apply what I have learned to my life
Pledges
are solemn oaths to do what you said you would do
we pledged today to
obey the laws of this country
stand behind all of its leaders
to represent this country with respect
to pray for its leaders
we swore an oath
to represent the Kingdom of Heave
to represent as a ambassador this Kingdom
be thankful for the freedom we have in Christ
we also promised to
read the Holy Scriptures
look at the mirror and see our faults and correct them
memorize God’s word that we will not sin
these promises were made to ourselves, to each other, and to God
