2 Peter 2:19 NASB95

19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.

Independence without moral foundation will self destruct

Galatians 5:1 NKJV

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

What does it mean?

INDEPEND´ENCE, n. [in and dependence.]

1. A state of being not dependent; complete exemption from control, or the power of others; as the independence of the Supreme Being.

2. A state in which a person does not rely on others for subsistence; ability to support one’s self.

3. A state of mind in which a person acts without bias or influence from others; exemption from undue influence; self-direction. independence of mind is an important qualification in a judge.

True independence and true freedom is valuable and never cheap

You have to make a Declaration of independence for yourself if you want to be free from sin and addiction in your life

How do we find true independence?

How do we live as someone who is truly independent and free?
