18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
1. Much of our faith is a verb, an action. Teaching implies learners. both teaching and learning are verbs, actions.

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
it is right that we have teachers and recognize them as teachers because we are to be observing the things that Jesus commanded.
teachers and preachers are those who have learned
Teachers are not to be novice.

1 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence 5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

22 Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people’s sins; keep yourself pure.

17 For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.
notice that The Apostle Paul calls Beloved and Faithful sons in the Lord.
The Apostle sends a teaching pastor who is in relationship with the Apostle.
now, it’s important to note here that the Apostle Paul is submitted to Jesus Christ as Lord, Timothy is submitted to the Lord, Timothy is not submitted to Paul not like the world plays with submission. This submission is not a submission of worldly power, rather the apostle new that His time would come to an end and the work of God is bigger than any one man or His ministry, it is for the Glory of God.

14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
in the last three scriptures we see the family relationship between ministers.
we are here to build you up.
we are here to walk with you.
we are here to believe in the call of God in you.
I wish we would kill jealousy in this Church.
I wish we would deal with our issues and come to gether and work to gether and believe in what God is doing in each other.
sibling rivalry has its place for a season in our development but if left to stand to long it will be destructive.

6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.
1 Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? 2 If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord. 3 My defense to those who examine me is this: 4 Do we have no right to eat and drink? 5 Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? 6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working? 7 Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock? 8 Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say the same also? 9 For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about? 10 Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope. 11 If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? 12 If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
The call to the Christian walk is a call to maturity.
2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
we deal are called to mature people.
a lot of us don’t come here as faithful men and women. but that’s why whe are
