Intro: Cookbooks.

Each book whether bought personally or received as a gift is special to the one who owns it but it is special because of a specific recipe that it contains. We each have our on favorite meal, or dessert and while there are many to choose from; these cookbooks are precise in their directions, in their measurements and their procedures in mixing and cooking each delicacy.

My mothers’ Spaghetti sauce (with Rosemary).

She must have liked Rosemary that week; a little Rosemary may be nice on a leg of lamb or something, but not in a tomato sauce.

The recipe was corrupted, something had been added that did not belong, and it was changed.

Sometimes our lives are like that, something gets introduced into our daily life and at that moment, it does not seem that big a deal, we just accept it, whether right or wrong.

The company we keep, the shows we see, and the music we listen to ever so subtly influences us.

The world does not quit trying to get into our carnal life because it wants to corrupt our spiritual life.

There are churches out there that want to borrow from different church groups so that they can all be alike, to make for bigger churches, something like a universal church. You just have to ask, what are these people cooking up?

Thank GOD, we are a Bible believing, Bible teaching Jesus name, Holy Ghost filled tongue-talking church.

AMEN!

INCORRUPTIBLE!

1 Peter 1:18-19, verse 23

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.

It happened over two thousand years ago, and we can’t add anything to it.

If you are to become a child of God, you must be born again, born from above.

Nicodemus was a man who was religious to his fingertips, yet the Lord Jesus told him that he must be born anothen, meaning “from above,” by the Spirit of God.

Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:3 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

You see it’s one of those directions it is part of the plan, we can not alter it or change it.

Not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

You cannot be saved without the Word of God: you cannot be born again apart from the Word of God.

Without Gods’ Word in our lives we are like a ship without a rudder, we are unable to stay on course; we just go wherever the wind blows us.

When we are faced with a trial, and we will have trials, we have the Word to look to for the answers. The Word is our rudder. Amen!

We are living in a day when a great deal is said about virility.

Men want to be handsome, vigorous and virile; and the women are not any better, they want to be the most beautiful the most desired.

I hope you will not misunderstand when I say to you that if you want something that is virile, vigorous, and desirable in a proper sense, turn to the Word of God.

It is full of life, and it is life-giving.

Put your arms around the Savior, put your trust in Him, and a new birth will take place.

There will be a miraculous birth because the Word of God is virile and vigorous and it can penetrate your heart and make you a child of God.

Yet people are so preoccupied with the world that they miss it.

They are running around after emptiness, from one conquest to the next, to the next.

Sometimes I think that the whole human race has become obsessed with the act of procreation.

You would think that this generation had discovered the birds and the bees!

If they would only realize that the thing that really brings a birth within us is the Word of God as it reveals Christ to us.

Then something tremendous takes place within us, and we are born again!

You see GOD has a plan, How ever long ago that was, He worked it out in His mind and He has not changed that plan.

Gen 1:1; In the beginning God…

When was the beginning, I don’t know, but God was there and He made it happen.

If you can not get your mind around that go back as far as you can understand, a million years, 100 million years, a billion years, He was there!

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with GOD. And the Word was GOD.

2: The same was in the beginning with God.

3: All things were made by HIM: And without Him was not anything made.

4: In Him was life: and the life was the light of men.

John 1:12; But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on His name.

Notice that this is for “them that believe on his name.”

And always with the word “believe” there is a preposition.

You see, faith, as the Bible uses it, is not just head knowledge.

Many people ask, “You mean all that I have to do is to say I believe?”

Yes, that is all you have to do, but let’s see what that implies.

With the verb “to believe” there is always a preposition—sometimes en (in), sometimes eis (into) or sometimes epi (upon).

You must believe into, in, or upon Jesus Christ.

Is Christ holding you up? Is He your Savior?

It is not a question of standing to the side and saying, “Oh, yes, I believe Jesus is the Son of God.”

The question is have you trusted Him, have you believed into Him, are you resting in Him?

We are adopted, we have become the sons of God,

1 Peter 1:4; To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5   who are kept by the power of GOD through faith

We need the preaching and the teaching of the Word of God above everything else.

I do not mean to minimize the place of music, the place of methods, and the place of organization, but there is absolutely no substitute for the Word of God today.  Amen.

“The word of the Lord endureth for ever.”

You can’t add to it you can’t take away from it, oh you can try to change it and many have tried, but God always sends someone along to let us know we are messing up.

GOD’S WORD is incorruptible, it does not change, it was the same in the beginning, it will be the same in the end, it was the same yesterday, it is the same today, and it will be the same tomorrow. Amen.

We not only need to accept Gods’ Word as truth, we need to accept the authority that goes along with His Word. AMEN!

He knows the end from the beginning, HE is the Beginning and He is the End He is the Alpha He is the Omega.

Without Jesus there would be no cross on Calvary’s’ hill.

Without the cross there would be no resurrection,

Without Jesus there would be no remission of sin.

Without Jesus there would be no miracles,

Without Jesus there would be no healings.

Without Jesus there would be no salvation.

Without Jesus there would be no hope.

John 1:1-4

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

When God created, He made something from nothing. There was no outside influence; nothing else was added to what God had decided to create. And because we are created beings, we have no basis for pride. We need to remember that we exist only because God made us, and each of us has special gifts only because God gave them to us.

With God we are something valuable and unique: apart from God we are nothing, because we are abandoning the purpose for which we were made.

Death brings eternal darkness, and only Christs’ eternal life planted in us will keep us alive in His kingdom for eternity.

He came to earth to offer mankind the hope and light of his eternal life; it can’t be bought; only received as a gift. Jesus gives that gift only to those who want to live the way Gods’ people will live in his eternal kingdom.

Colossians 2:9; For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

When you know Jesus you will not need to seek anything else to fulfill you, no false religions, no cults, and no unbiblical philosophies will do anything for you.

Christ alone holds the answers to the true meaning of life because Christ is life.

He has a plan for His creation, and that plan includes us living with Him in eternity.

That is His plan, but we have to choose to go along with his plan or to reject it.

To reject Gods’ plan for our life is to reject Jesus Christ as our Savior, as our Lord and as our King.

Gods plan is incorruptible; we can not change it or influence it.

His plan is going to happen no matter what we may think; the question you must ask yourself is: are you going to be part of His plan.

Just being a good person doesn’t cut it.

The rich young ruler Mark 10:17-27 thought he was good enough but he missed his salvation.

You can not go around claiming to be a child of the King if you’re in the world doing drugs, if your still out there partying and drinking alcohol, if your shacking up on the weekend, if your out there with your so called friends smoking or snorting’ dope or doing anything that goes against Gods’ will!

Will ye steal murder and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? [Jer. 7:9–10].

You are only fooling yourself and one day you will be in for a rude awakening, and that day of judgement may come sooner than you think.

Please stand:

1 Corinthians 3:16 - 17

Know ye not that ye are the temple of GOD

17 If any man defile the temple of GOD, him shall GOD destroy: For the temple of God is Holy, which temple ye are.

ARE A FEW MINUTES OF PLEASURE WORTH AN ETERNITY OF SUFFERING AND SEPERATION FROM GOD?

REPENT WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME.

If you reject Him now He will reject you when He comes for His church.

We will all have to come before Him on that final judgment day.

Your destiny is before you, your past is behind you, you can’t change your past, but you can cover it in the blood of Jesus.

You can right now change your life by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Come to the altar and talk with Jesus, change your life.

If you need to be baptized,

Follow the directions in Acts 2:38 and change your destiny:

On the other hand, you can do nothing and what you have today is all you will ever have.

Think about it, is this all you want?

Come to Jesus today.
