The New Unger’s Bible Dictionary Eschatology

ESCHATOLOGY (from Gk. eschatos, “last,” and logosM, “study”). A theological term employed to designate the doctrine of last things, particularly those dealing with the second coming of Christ and the events preceding and following this great event.

God, tells us to wait-different from the kind of waiting we are use to like;

Waiting your chores to be completed to go out and play with your friends as a child

Waiting for the week end

waiting to eat, but still at the back of the line

waiting for the game to start

Waiting for the hard day to end

waiting to speak

waiting to eat

And so, we seem to do a lot of waiting only to have whatever we were waiting for-over, then waiting again for something else.

We are a people that only last, if we have the strenght, maybe 70-80 years-90 if we’re lucky Hum, 90 years old and what kind of quaity of life? Anyway, this sermons focuss is all about last things. Jesus has already set the stage and knows the exact timing of the end of this world-yes, end of this world and everything else our eyes can see as we look into the Vast Universe, even all that will be burned up! Yet, there will come a time, maybe it our day or further, but most differently will happen. Everything we know will just be burned up
