Telling your story

Since arriving here in Linden I have enjoyed hearing of all the things you have done. This is where this passage begins. The disciples have been engaged in the ministry and Jesus sets the example for all of us, especially pastors, as to how he takes time to listen to them. It is a necessary and good thing to talk about the struggles of our lives. How many of you come home and share with your spouses about your day. Maybe your highlight was the drive home. Nothing happened at work special, but on the way home you saw an Eagle soaring high in the sky, you lost control of your vehicle and barely escaped serious injury.
Lets look at this opening scripture. The apostles gathered around Jesus, and told him all that they had done and taught.

Can you feel the excitement in this scripture. Imagine it is like the best day of work ever. You drive home with anticipation, and you can barely contain your excitement. Jesus then tells you to, He said to them, “Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.”
The Holy Bible: New Revised Standard Version. (1989). (Mk 6:31). Nashville: Thomas Nelson Publishers. Do you feel it? Have you ever had those times in your life?
