His Zeal My Zeal

Here are you sins

Last week I had talked a little bit about your desires, and how sometimes your desires makes are what create you to do certain things.
People may not know what you are dealing with internally, but what ever comes out of you allows a person to see who you are.
If you are happy, people will not know unless you show yourself happy. If you are sad, people will not know you are sad unless you show yourself sad. Today, many do not know how to express whats deep inside and choose to feed their flesh.
This is a big situation we are dealing with today. When we are able to be happy, instead we choose to be and express sadness, when we could be happy.
We can take what is given and do what we can with what we have, or we can take what we want and and despise what we have in so that we leave what is initially ours for something that we feel we should have or feel that we are dealing with.
Selfishness is not kosher. Priding oneself is not kosher. Taking your words over God’s Word is definitely not Kosher. Infusing what is pure/holy with that which is not.... God does not like that. All these things lead to so much corruption that is found throughout our lives…
So yes, Sin is everything that is done outside of what God wants you to do. Whereas Corruption stems from our ambition to achieve what is not from God.

Sin is everything that is done outside of what God wants you to do. Corruption stems from our ambition to achieve what is not from God

Usually, in scripture, if a person sins… they can be forgiven by God. However, a person that is corrupt has a heart to totally loses sight on what God wants them to do!
This is why last week was so important, because we were able to distinguish whether to choose to bless or curse what God has already established.
Balaak chose to go his way (despising a people greater than his) where Balaam chose to go his (the way in which nothing of his own words came out of his mouth)
Balaak’s words were purposed for his own gain
Balaams words were God’s words made so that one might be blessed.
So yes, we need to gather together to hear how Adonai wants us to prepare the way for His second coming… like Now!
Oh wait! He did give us the know how!!!!
Let’s read the parsha -
Numbers 25:10–11 TLV
Then Adonai spoke to Moses saying, “Phinehas son of Eleazar son of Aaron the kohen has turned away My anger from Bnei-Yisrael because he was very zealous for Me among them, so that I did not put an end to Bnei-Yisrael in My zeal.
In the Hebrew, it reads a little differently… check it out
Numbers 25:10–11 LHB
If we break it down we read.... and spoke Adonai to Moses saying:
Pinchas, son of Eleazar, son of Aaron, the kohen, turned my anger/wrath from upon sons of Israel in his zeal My zeal...
Notice how in the hebrew it doesn’t say “His zeal for me”. I will say that in the english we could say “His zeal for me”, but it is better to say that the Zeal of the Lord was in Pinchas. In other words...

In his Zeal… My Zeal

What I love most about this is that Messiah is literally in these words, because we know that all Ive been talking about is that the zeal of the Lord will accomplish these things....
and while we were still sinners… Messiah died for us.
Messiah was the Priest that was not acting for himself, but in the fullness of God to take on the sins we’ve acted upon and make atonement.
Pinchas was very alert in the sins that were taking place, and when the community gathered together to remove the evil from their midst… God acted through him.
God gave us the ability to be merry and very well merry, but when we choose to be in corruption, we then become removed from the blessing.
Back to the beginning of what I was talking about…
We have the opportunity here and now to bring about the happiness, but instead we begin with discomfort. And when that happens, we do not receive life. to remind us of this God shows us that the first generation of those who sinned, except Joshua and Caleb, clearly did not enter the promise land, and so the promise went to the following generation.... however, even in the second generation, we had those that followed after their discomfort of what God established… and we read:
Numbers 26:8–10 TLV
The son of Pallu was Eliab. The sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These were the Dathan and Abiram who were community leaders who rebelled against Moses and Aaron and were among the following of Korah in their rebellion against Adonai. Then the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them with Korah, whose followers died when the fire consumed the 250 men, these men serving as a warning.
Yet, still something so remarkable is that God does not punish us according to the sins of the father. Rather we have a chance to turn to the Lord and choose life!
While Korah rebelled, Korah’s sons did not:
Numbers 26:11 TLV
Korah’s sons, however, did not die.
And The L-rd’s goodness continues to be exemplified with the new generation as they receive their inheritance. Most importantly, God speaks to Moses in order to give daughters and inheritance that would otherwise be given to another man. Adonai is not short of His Justice and Mercy, and
because Moses responded as to do everything God has said… Israel was very blessed through him.
Though Moses sinned, he was not put to death… as said before… most sins do bring a consequence, but if your heart is sincere to the Lord, you will not die as did Pharoah, Korach, or the man who sexually sinned. You must turn your heart away from sin and to Adonai!
If you do so, God will being forth his justice and righteousness.
we see this with Moses when the Lord told him that he would be regathered with his people. Moses spoke and sad to Adonai:

May ADONAI, God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the community 17to go out and come in before them, who will lead them out and bring them out so that the people of ADONAI will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”

18ADONAI said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the Ruach, and lay your hand on him. 19You will have him stand before Eleazar the kohen and the entire assembly and commission him before their eyes. 20Give to him some of your authority so that the whole community of Bnei-Yisrael will obey him. 21He will stand before Eleazar the kohen, who will pray and obtain judgments for him by Urim and before ADONAI. At his mouth, they will go out and at his mouth they will come in, he and all the community of Bnei-Yisrael with him.”

22Moses did as ADONAI commanded him. He took Joshua, stood him before Eleazar the kohen and all the entire assembly. 23Then he laid his hands on him and commissioned him just as ADONAI had spoken, by Moses’ hand.

Again, the prayer given was so that Joshua (who’s name in hebrew Yehoshua is very close the the name Yeshua in hebrew.) would continue the Lord work and bring his people to the promise.
What the Lord commanded the people then and there was to observe the feast of the Lord. In Numbers 28-29 we see the Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh, Pesach, Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, & Sukkot. All of these appointed times are for one thing only.... for the people of Israel to meet with HaShem that the Lord would sanctify them!
This brings me back the top of this parsha. We read again:
Numbers 25:12 TLV
So now say: See, I am making with him a covenant of shalom!
And following that verse
Numbers 25:13 TLV
It will be for him and his descendants after him a covenant of an everlasting priesthood—because he was zealous for his God and atoned for Bnei-Yisrael.”
Although Pinchas was a priest, because he was a levite, this portion made Pinchas was given a higher position than a priest of this earth. To the one who has the zeal of the Lord shall be given a covenant of Shalom. I want you to know that when the Torah says his zeal, I greatly believe that it was referring to captial H His Zeal. I believe it is the Zeal of Messiah Yeshua that the Lord said also… My Zeal....
while we might see in English…
his Zeal My Zeal
it is actually...
HIS Zeal MY Zeal
Now let us read what is written in Isaiah:
Isaiah 9:6 TLV
Of the increase of His government and shalom there will be no end— on the throne of David and over His kingdom— to establish it and uphold it through justice and righteousness from now until forevermore. The zeal of Adonai-Tzva’ot will accomplish this.
WOOOOOOW
This covenant is to establish the kingdom of the L-rd, and it starts with Israel - His Jewish people, and you!
Yeshua was lifted up in order to bring us to Himself. Yeshua is the Zeal of the Lord what accomplishes all these things we read about. Receiving Yeshua means receiving the portion the is set for you to bring completeness.... Shalom. His Shalom is for you, but you must turn from your ways.
His Shalom is for you, but you must pursue Him, His Justice and Righteousness and not your own. And to you will be given the gift that was given to Pinchas.

קִנְאַ֛ת יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה־זֹּֽאת

With this, I want each and every single one of you to speak to a friend about the Lord this week. but not just any friend… a stranger friend. A stranger who is a friend, because He will have heard a word from the Lord through you. And if a Jewish friend… especially to the Jewish friend.
Give them their blessing, their shalom, give them back their Messiah! It’s funny how Jewish people will say Jesus is the messiah of the Christians, but He really was given to the Jews and to us all. So let them know… Jesus was not sent through the gentiles, He was sent through you so that you and I may have Him. So your fathers gave me Yeshua after you had rejected Him, and now Im trying to give Him to you… but that doesn’t mean I’m losing Him… rather, because of HaShem’s love for us.... He is for all of us. And since I have Him, we are not complete until you have Him also.
Do not challenge… simply give It (The Word) to them. Do not force things on them, simply speak His desire for them. Just has Messiah had mercy on you, so Messiah extends His hand of mercy through you.
Hebrews 4:12–13 TLV
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword—piercing right through to a separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. No creature is hidden from Him, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Let me emphasis what is said here....
1. For the Word of God is:
Living
Active
Sharp (sharper than any two edged sword)
2. The Word of God:
a. Pierces right through to a separation of- soul & spirit and joints & marrow
b. Able to judge - the thoughts and intentions of the heart
You are only living if you have The Word.
You can only be active in the promise if you are in The Word
You can only be sharp to pierce through evil if you live and are active by the Word
Revelation 19:11–13 TLV
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The One riding on it is called Faithful and True, and He judges and makes war in righteousness. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and many royal crowns are on His head. He has a name written that no one knows except Himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which He is called is “the Word of God.”
Justice And Righteous Judgment comes when the Word is alive and active in you!
Pinchas would not have stopped the plague unless his Zeal was The L-rd’s Zeal

14And the armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15From His mouth comes a sharp sword—so that with it He may strike down the nations—and He shall rule them with an iron rod, and He treads the winepress of the furious wrath of Elohei-Tzva’ot. 16On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “King of kings, and Lord of lords.”

This is why our zeal has to be His (the Lord’s) Zeal! This is because His zeal (the Lord) is My (Adonai’s) Zeal.... and Adonai’s Zeal (Yeshua) will accomplish the covenant of peace that was made and was revealed through Yeshua which shall never end!
During this time of mourning and praying because of the sins of the people, I urge all to stand that we might all turn from our sins. That the Lord will remove the inquity of His people through the sacrifice of Yeshua; that all might see who He is as we cry out Baruch Haba BeShem Adonai! Let us pray with our hearts completely submitted to Him, and that His Spirit would consume us that all may hear who He is and receive His Righteous Judgement.
Lord, Forever You are and shall be Glorified! forgive us (myself and them). may You allow your servant to lead these people to the promise You made with our fathers that we may be in the place you have called us to be. Bring Your chosen people Israel (the Jewish People) back to You - relieve from their midst the plagues that are upon them. Bring Your children that have been dispersed (both Jew and Gentile) back to You - relieve the plague that has been placed on us! Bring us all back to the land of the Promise… that is Eretz Yisrael - to Your holy mountain! But above all, Bring us all back to You! Baruch Haba BShem Adonai - Blessed is He who comes in the Name of Adonai! In Yeshua’s Name I pray - Amen!
