Hebrews 11:6–7 KJV 1900

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Noah is my favorite Bible Character.

If I could pattern my life after one man it would be Noah!

God told Noah to build an Ark one time to protect him from rain, something he had never seen or experienced and 100 years latter Noah is building and preaching...

How many times did God have to confirm his covenant with his friend, Abraham?

What an obedient, faithful, steadfast man!

The three things I have literally endeavored to live my life by.

The writer of Hebrews must have felt the same because he would begin his writings concerning the Hero’s of Faith with him.

We start Hebrews 11 off with the three most basic understandings of God.

He IS

You can only gain access to him through faith.

Faith is the currency of both Heaven and Hell

Rewards them that intently seek him

THEN he begins to break it down into more detail.

Six things that Noah did.

He receives a Word from God

Trust the process

Family of God, House of God, Man of God, Word of God - these should all work in agreement

Open your spirit

We open and close our spirit multiple times every day

When you are around someone you know to be a lier you build a wall of skepticism...

When you are around a negative person you build defenses...

When you are around a person you respect, talking about a subject you know that they know, you listen intently...

Regular pray of church preparation, God I open my spirit to your preached Word

You have to stop coming to church skeptical and closed off

Shift gears from walking through a world where you have to constantly guard your spirit and being distrustful of every little thing, and open yourself to the process of God

This is why pre service prayer is so important

This is why so many times you leave church in the same condition you came - you did not open your spirit!

FEAR

Show reverence, regard or respect

To be concerned about a batter, anxious

To take care

You don’t fear something you don’t have faith in!

News predicts a heavy snow fall what happens? The city is moved by hear and there is a run on the grocery stores. Why? Their faith in what is about to happen!

Have to protect your faith!

Faith will cause you to fear and fear will cause you to Build an Ark

Responds in Faith

You don’t have faith until you do something about the recieved Word!

Faith is not realized until a statement if made

Path of faith

Believe = Confess with mouth = About me and God = Says God CAN

Praise = Public statement = About me and spirit realm = Says God WILL

Thanksgiving = About establishing (even when unseen in the moment) = Says God did DID

Saved his house

Noah’s family was saved but no one else. Why?

God’s government was based on the family

The NT introduces us to the Household of Faith or the Family of God

So while Noah only had spiritual authority over his family, we have spiritual authority over our city, IF WE TAKE IT!

Condemned the world

What is salvation to some will be damnation to others

Natural, unchangeable fact

We have to come to grip with that because if we don’t we become weak and unwilling to push ppl to repentance

You actions will condemn friends, family and co workers BUT

Became and heir of righteousness
