Text: Eph 1:3-14

CIT: What are the blessings of faith in Christ? 1) Chosen, 2) Adopted 3) Redemption. 4) Inheritance, 5) Holy Spirit Seal

CIS: Recognize what family you belong to.

SO: Explain: I want to chapel to recognized that they are uniquely God’s and they are in unique family relationship with God and the role that that entails.

I God’s Chosen You (v. 3-4)

Note the reference to the Father and Son, emphasis on Son

What are the Spiritual blessings in heaven?

Chosen to be holy and blameless

II God’s Adopted You (v. 5-6)

The father loved us and adopted us through Jesus’ adoption agency

Doxology reference

III God’s Redeemed You (v. 7-10)

Jesus’ sacrifice secured our adoption

It is connected with God’s will to unite all thing to himself.

IV God’s made you his Heir (v. 11-12) & V God’s Sealed You (v. 13-14)

Note the reference to the Spirit (Trinitarian Formula)

Our inheritance is given by the Holy Spirit
