Differentiating between Rich & Poor
I. The favor of the Rich over the Poor. Prov. 10:15
Here, dealing with the context of diligence, the rich is rich by implementing wisdom, while the poor is as such because of laziness.
II. The disfavor of the Rich over the Poor. James 5:1; Luke 6:20
In this case, the rich is disfavored because of greed and lust, while the poor is blessed because of righteousness and greed of the former.
We see then that the discrepancy lies within the motivation of each.
