what i hear the text saying to me

vv 1-2 i’m a servant of Jesus and i’m not alone in servanthood to Jesus. Hospitality among believers should be first and genuine.

v.3 practice gratitude with others. Think highly of others. think kind thoughts and thoughts from a place of thanksgiving for who they are and what they bring to community.

4. pray for others consistently also from a place of gratitude.

v.5 be grateful for others contribution no matter how small. community is important and the people that make it up are important no matter where they are on their spiritual journey.

v.6 we are all a work in progress and our completion won’t arrive until the 2nd coming of Jesus or in death. i’m confident that God is working on everyone and is strategically moving us forward. God is perfecting us and building us up together.

v.7 people are doing their best and i desire to believe that people think good thoughts about me as well. they are all on this journey with me though we may be in different parts. i’m not the only one suffering and going through something. this is why i pray for others daily. but we all take joy in good things together also like the building up of others in Christ.

v.8 live in such a way that God knows you. live in such a way that God can count on your like Job. Love people the way God loves them. not holding them to their faults but loving them to perfection at their pace and still honoring yourself.

v.9 desire that others grow in Love. not your kind of love or idea of love but God’s kind of love.

v.10 i pray this kind of Love so that others can identify what true love is and what love looks like in their life. I pray that others establish an authentic relationship with God so they might know God for themselves.

v.11 i pray this so that others may experience breakthroughs, fulfilled purposes, and freedom/transformation.
