Sermon Idea/ Planning

Things to take Serious in the Church:
We need a strategic plan for administering the gospel. (Acts 2:42, 46-47)
Acts 2:42 (NKJV)
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Apostles Doctrine - They didnt have Systematic Theology books at that time. So what was the apostle’s doctrine?
I do not believe that it was a time of studying the different doctrines of the church.
I do not believe it was a time of indoctrination into ways and customs of the church.
I believe the apostles doctrine was a time of strategy and application to the gospel message. (read Acts 2:46-47)
Acts 2:46–47 NKJV
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
2. We need a serious approach to corporate prayer.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV
17 pray without ceasing,
Colossians 4:2 NKJV
2 Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;
Hebrews 4:16 NKJV
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
