Stop Carrying The Load Around

You’ve Looked At It Long Enough

Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 

Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 

Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. 

There is a well know household trash removal company. It’s job is to come and haul away (for a fee of course) any articles that have come to clutter or become outdated around your house.

After putting up with this collection of things for some time; you arrive to a point that it becomes too much clutter, and eye sore, producing pests, has been replaced with newer version and now it has no use; or it has become such an eye sore that you are finally embarrassed of it and want it removed.

Well this company was started up just for you. When you have things that you need hauled away; out of your sight and life forever.

Their slogan is “Got Junk—Just Point”

Junk is defined as old or discarded articles that are considered useless or to little value. Remember that definition later on in this sermon.

We have junk mail

Junk calls

junk gifts

junk cars

junk yards

junk drugs

junk talk

junk food

All of these things receive the status of “junk” when they are of or become of no value to us.

What makes them become use less or of little value to us?

a. Time

b. Circumstances change

c. We upgrade our life

d. We finally realize its worthlessness to us

e. It becomes senseless to keep it around

Jesus says in Joh 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 

Satan uses this junk to steal from you.....

To Kill you......just as drugs are junk in your system He feeds your mind and spirit with junk thoughts and assumptions and imaginations that kill your opportunities and relationships.

Junk to destroy all of the progress you have made. Destroy your life goals.

You were going to be a nurse but now you’re just a nuisance, an accountant but now you’re an addict, a house wife but now you’re home wrecker, a builder but now your life is demolished.

The Devil keeps loading us down with stuff we need to get rid of.

Spiritually we have a bad back and need a knee replacement because we have been carrying the junk Satan had kept throwing upon us.

The Devil turns you into a magnet for bad everybody’s bad news

All of your families troubles

All of life’s negative issues you’re he one who takes them home while every one else goes alone happy and care free.

You come to church and have praise and worship but the moment you walk our the church door he’s on the roof top jumping down trying to throw every negative issue back on you.

The commercial says just point at it and it will disappear.

Do you have some junk in your life, that it’s well past time for you to point at and say in the name of Jesus..Disappear!

Jesus came for more than to get you filled with the Holy Ghost....Baptized.....Saved from Sin.......

Did you ever wonder why He said I will never leave you or forsake you? Because He knew that even after you get delivered....Some Junk was going to get in your life and He will have to pull up to the door of your heart and soul and ask you…Got Junk?

Point.....Point ....Point

Point to your heart and tell him I’ve been a storage of hurt for too long....

Point to your mind....
