RELEASING THE SUPERNATURAL

Flow in the gifts of the Spirit.

INTRODUCTION

Morning family, people are longing and yearning for a supernatural touch from Jesus, they are longing for the reality of the gospel to break into their life’s.

They are longing for a touch of heaven on earth.

We have children and adults walking around in society that are longing for a blessing from a father figure.

They have never been blessed; they have not received a generational blessing from a Spiritual father.

They have received generational curse from their father.

In actual fact, the very thing the world is yearning for is the very then we are called to give them.

We are called to be children of God and to walk around releasing the Life and blessing of God.

We called by Jesus to break of people generation curse with our agreement with the word of God and with the laying on of hands.

Did you know what is a sign of us nor believing in the supernatural? It us not laying on of hands in faith.

The moment we stop laying on of hands we stop believing for the miraculous activity of God.

Listen to this verse.

Luk 4:40 Now when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.

Mar 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.

Mar 10:15 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

Mar 10:16 And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

Act 19:11 And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,

Friends we called to worship Jesus as God and follow His example as man, how he walked we carry on walking, His lifestyle is our lifestyle.

We need to become thoroughly convinced in our heart, with the help with the Holy Spirit that we to like Jesus and like the disciples

We are commanded by Jesus to go into the world and make a difference and lay hands on people and bless them.

Have you ever heard, people walk around and saying the following seems as everything goes wrong with me, feels as if I am just not blessed? Did you know the laying on of hands changes that report around from a cursed life to a blessed life?

THIS MORNING WE GOING TO LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING 3 POINTS .

1. WHAT IS THE LAYING ON OF HANDS?

2. WHY? LAY HANDS ON PEOPLE.

3. WHAT IS MY ROLE TO THE LAYING ON OF HANDS?

1.WHAT IS THE LAYING ON OF HANDS?

The laying on of hands is a definite act in which one or more people place their hands physically on someone else body for a specific spiritual reason.

2. WHY? LAY HANDS-ON PEOPLE

God has ordained and set in place the laying on of hands as a biblical pattern for the transmitting or imparting the following

Impart healing.

Impart the Holy Spirit.

Impart a spiritual gift.

Ordain or set people into a ministry.

Impart a blessing .

2.1. IMPART HEALING

Luk 4:40 …. everyone who had friends suffering from various diseases brought them to him. He placed his hands on each of them and cured them.

People came to Jesus in faith believing in the laying on of hands for the sick to be healed.

Mar 5:23 He begged Jesus, "My little daughter is dying. Come, lay your hands on her so that she may get well and live."

Mar 7:32 Some people brought to him a man who was deaf and who also had a speech defect. They begged Jesus to lay his hand on him.

Do we still come in faith and believe for healing by the laying on pf hands?

Jesus instructed the believer to go lay hands on the sick

Mar 16:18 ... They will place their hands on the sick and cure them."

Jesus instructed believers in the church to call the Elders to come pray for the sick to be healed.

Jas 5:14 If you are sick, call for the church leaders. Have them pray for you and anoint you with olive oil in the name of the Lord.

Who generally speaking can lay hands on people to heal the sick?

Any Spirit filled believer can.

2.2 IMPART THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Act 9:17 Ananias left and entered Judas' house. After he placed his hands on Saul, Ananias said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your way to Damascus, sent me to you. He wants you to see again and to be filled with the Holy Spirit."

Act 8:15 Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit.

Act 8:16 (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Act 8:17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit.

Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.

What do believers receive when hands are laid on them in faith?

The Holy Spirit.

Who can lay hands on people to receive the Holy Spirit? Any Spirit filled disciple.

How do you do this? Have faith and pray in faith for the person to receive the Holy Spirit.

The person you are praying for needs to believe they will receive the Holy Spirit.

Do this in faith expecting the person to receive the Holy Spirit.

2.3 IMPART A SPIRITUAL GIFT

2Ti 1:6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands,

Adults are you seeking Elders, to lay hand on you to activate gifts in you?

Are you seeking your small group leader to lay hands on you?

If you are aware of your gifts? Are you seeking a leader to lay hands on you and increase your anointing? To be more effective.

2.4 ORDAIN PEOPLE INTO LEADERSHIP IN THE CHURCH/SET PEOPLE APART FOR MINISTRY/COMMISSION PEOPLE

Act 6:3 Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty.

Act 6:4 But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Act 6:5 And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch.

Act 6:6 These they set before the apostles, and they prayed and laid their hands on them.

2.5 IMPART A BLESSING

Mar 10:16 And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

Luk 24:50 And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.

Luk 24:51 While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

The blessing means, to enact, or invoke favor on the person where people treat them kindly. Divine favor, divine blessing.

3. WHAT IS MY ROLE WHEN IT COMES TO THE LAYING ON OF HANDS?

If you see the sick lay your hands on them to pray for them.’

If you are sick seek out an elder to come and pray for you.

Practice in faith praying for the releasing of the Holy Spirit to people around you.

Seek an Elder in our church to lay hands on you and commission you in your ministry, ask them to lay hands on you to bless you in business.

If you have a child lay your hands on them as much as possible and bless them, listen to the Holy Spirit when He gives you a word speak that word to your child

IN CLOSING.
