There are some deceitful little things that we do not think will get us, but it is the little things that creep in to destroy.

Song of Solomon 2:15

When people say that, “God told me to ______” or “God led me to ____” are lying about it.

Ezekiel 13:3–4 says, “Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the desert.”

Here are some little FOXES that will rob you blind:

I. The Little Fox of Defeat.

1 Kings 19:4

A list of “defeats”

I tried and I just can’t go on - Phil 4:13

I am depressed - Phil 3:14

You don’t understand me - 1 Sam 30:6

II. The Little Fox of Disagreement.

Matthew 5:21-26

Wrong disagreements that separate

I can read between the lines

I know what they mean

I can read their minds

Matthew 18:15-17

III. The Little Fox of Divisions.

Romans 16:17

Mark them? Why I’ll keep them on FB to keep an eye on them.

Avoid them? I can’t. I want everyone to like me.

”Contrary to the doctrine I’ve learned” LOL I haven’t learned any!

IV. The Little Fox of Drowsiness.

Romans 13:11

What shows that people are asleep spiritually?

Their eyesight. They can’t see anything spiritual.

Their hearing. They do not hear anything spiritual.

Their decisions. Someone else is responsible for waking them.

V. The Little Fox of Dishonesty.

1 Thessalonians 4:12

How do we walk dishonestly if we are to correct this?

We walk dishonesty with our credit report.

We walk dishonesty with our criminal history.

We walk dishonesty with our work ethic.

Conclusion:

How do we stop these little foxes?

Taller gates and fences. They can’t just jump in

Water repellent. They hate to get wet

Add lights. They hate lights
