A threefold cord is not easily broken

Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, “And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him- a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

In this word God is warning man not to be alone. Some people do not accept help well and they want to be loners or to be alone. But God says in Ecclesiastes 4:10 that it is not wisdom to be alone. Instead two can be more productive and fend off evil better than one.

Today __________ and ____________you have decided to commit yourselves in marriage. You have decided 2 is better than one.

In the Garden of Eden God said it is not good for man to be alone so he put Adam to sleep and from his rib he created woman so that man would never again be alone.

We are here today because God brought you together so neither one of you would need to be alone.
