BECOMING NATURALLY SUPERNATURAL ( PART 3)

INTRODUCTION

We are children of God and we called to live in Community the church and we called to strengthen, edify and build up believers and advance the Kingdom of God in the word Monday to Friday.

We do this by believing in the Supernatural and flowing in the gifts of the Spirit.

A COUPLE OF STEPS IN OUR MINDSET TO FLOW IN THE SUPERNATURAL.

HAVE OUR MIND TRANSFORMED ( ROM 12:2).

BELIEVE WE A NEW CREATION ( 2 COR 5:17).

RECEIVE THE EMPOWERING OF THE SPIRIT ( ACTS 2) ASK FOR POWER DAILY.

DETERMINE TO LIVE IN COMMUNITY.

REMEMBER JESUS IS THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH.

YOU ARE APART OF THE BODY.

YOU BELONG IN THE CHURCH AND ARE IMPORTANT.

BELIEVE WE CALLED TO MOVE IN THE SUPERNATURAL ( 1 COR 12:12).

OPEN YOUR HEAVENS WITH TITHE AND OFFERING ( MAL 3:8-15).

Lets see together where we find the gifts of the Spirit in the bible ( 1 Cor 12:7-12).

The context for these gifts operating is in the local church, but they can flow anywhere.

11Co 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.

1Co 12:2 You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led.

1Co 12:3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

1Co 12:4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;

1Co 12:5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;

1Co 12:6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.

1Co 12:7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

1Co 12:8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

1Co 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

1Co 12:10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

1Co 12:11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

WHAT ARE THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT?

1.Gift of tongues.

Supernatural utterance in a language unknown to the speaker.

2.Gift of the interpretation of tongues.

Supernatural ability to interpret a message given by the gift of tongues.

3.Gift of prophecy.

Divinely inspired utterance for edification, exhortation, comfort or prediction (1 Cor 14:3-). This means that prophecy builds up,and may speak about the future.

4. Word of knowledge.

It is a supernatural impartation of information that is inaccessible by natural human means. The information can be about a person or situation, past or present.

5.Word of wisdom?

Supernatural impartation of divine wisdom to deal with a difficult situation. Future based.

6.Gift of discerning spirits?

Supernatural ability to differentiate between the four sources of spiritual operations: holy,human, evil or angelic.

7.Gift of faith.

A supernatural release of faith that transcends the limitations of normal faith.

8.Gifts of healing.

Supernatural release of the power of God to bring healing into a sick body for the glory of Christ.

9. Working of power.

Supernatural ability to do something that defies the laws of nature.

These workings refer to the God given ability to demonstrate the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit at work. Each miracle is a working – a specific manifestation of the gift.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY IN REGARDS TO THESE GIFTS.

Study them ( 1 Cor 12:1)

Desire them, ask for them daily (1 Cor 12:31)

Walk in great love. How? Ask God to help us ( 1 Cor 14:1)

Learn to discern how the Holy Spirit talks to you ( Gal 5:25).

Stay in the word of God ( 2 Tim 3:15-17).

Put your faith out for these gifts daily ( 1 Cor 12:11).

HOMEWORK FOR THIS WEEK?

Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

PRAY INTO THE HOLY SPIRIT RELEASING ALL 9 GIFTS THROUGH EVERY MEMBER IN OUR CHURCH DAILY.

Why pray for others to flow in the gifts of the Spirit in our church ?

Luk 6:38  Give, and you will receive. A large quantity, pressed together, shaken down, and running over will be put into your pocket. The standards you use for others will be applied to you."

When you pray for others you receive more and much more than other people you praying for.

Will you see yourself as a child of God, called to flow in the gifts of the Spirit to strengthen and build up the body( Church) and advance the Kingdom of God in your Mon-Friday career.
