My Priorities
3 It takes wisdom to have a good family, and it takes understanding to make it strong.
There is this idea that says that ministry is outside of family and that family is secondary and not primary. When in reality that is a skewed view. It is a view that causes us to look at our families as leftovers. You ever have left overs? It tends to be just what it implies. Left Over, didn’t make the pick, sidelined. when in reality, lets be honest, most of us really prefer the hot cooked meal for that day.
This is how so many people in a family of ministers feels. Like they just are there. Not really important. Don’t really matter. Because, can’t you see honey? God has called me to something so much greater! Really! You really believe that?
So much greater then your family? Look at what scripture says about this.
21 And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.
24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.
25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her
