Depression is - A deep sense of despondency, discouragement, and sadness that is open linked with a sense of powerlessness and a loss of meaning in and enthusiasm for life.

Some Causes of depression are- External circumstances, Physical illness or exhaustion, fear of others,fear of failure,serious sin, a sense of the futility of life....

Additional causes- The loss of God’s presence in one’s life, a loathing of life and a desire to end it, deep sorrow, loneliness, perplexity, despair, Escapism, Feeling forsaken by God.

Examples of spiritual depression- Judges 6:13 - Kings 19:9 / Psalms 22:6 / Psalm 42:1 / Psalm 42:9 / Psalm 43:1-5

Remedies for depression are -

A renewed vision of God and being centered upon him
