I CAN in a Can’t world

The world focuses on Can’t, but God focuses on can. When we align our focus with God’s focus he will empower us to rise above the cultural failures.
Philippians 4:13 ESV
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
When we look into what this verse means it truly shows us the power we are equipped with. Paul wrote this in Jail in a sewer facing many dangers.
Paul states in
Philippians 4:12 ESV
I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
To get in this mindset you have to get passed the physical world around you and focus on what Gos is doing in you. I hear people anxious about the world around us, what it’s doing, where it’s going, but God says
Colossians 3:2 ESV
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Or rather set your mind on God knowing he cares for you and loves you. When we can set out mind on God we are more apt to keep our mind off of the concerns of this world.
What has brought me peace in this world is realizing the worst someone can do to me is kill me, but then I am with God in Heaven. It could hurt getting there, but that too shall pass.
The angry moment you are in shall pass. It’s only difficult in the moment, but if we stay focused on God it will pass.
The anxiety and stress of this world cannot touch a person who has their mindset on God.
Philippians 4:6 ESV
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
God understands what you need before you even ask, but coming to him and asking reminds us who has everything under control. If doors just opened, obstacles disappeared, problems went away and God didn’t make us ask than we might get big headed and arrogant thinking everything came from us when in reality it was God giving us good and perfect gifts.
Philippians 4:7 ESV
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
If we are praying and seeking God than God will guard our hearts and mind.
