Are you looking for Jesus?

Titus 2:11–15 KJV 1900
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Characteristics of someone who is looking for Jesus:

Faithfulness that is tested in the House of God
Convictions drive your philosophy - based on the TRUTH of God’s Word
Evangelize to the Lost World
World affairs do not shake them

Faithfulness - Tested in the House of God: Get to church!

Hebrews 10:25 KJV 1900
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

“Let Us” (Heb 10:22-24)

Draw Near: With a true heart
Hold Fast: The Profession - reaching, preaching, teaching the Gospel to the lost
Consider One Another: Motivate with love and genuine actions our brethren (encourage one another; fellowship with one another)

Why then should our Faithfulness be tested in the House of God?

He is faithful (Heb 10:23)
What is keeping you from attending church regularly? There is NO excuse!
Hasn’t Christ presented himself enough to us? (Heb 9:26;24;28)

Convictions Drive Your Philosophy

Revelation 2:25 KJV 1900
But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Evangelize to the “Lost World”

1 Corinthians 16:8–9 KJV 1900
But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

World Affairs do not shake them

Luke 21:28 KJV 1900
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
2 Timothy 3:1–7 KJV 1900
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3:10–14 KJV 1900
But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
Its important to keep our focus - raising our families in a lost world that wants to consume them! Teach our children the Word of God
2 Timothy 3:15 KJV 1900
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Isn't it interesting these verses come before one of the MOST important verses in the Bible. A verse that infuriates those who are not convicted in maintaining the Word of God and not compromising with changing His Word - to meet the modern world.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 KJV 1900
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
