THE PEACE OF GOD

Colossians 3:15; Philippians 4:6,7

            How do we know the difference between the voice of God and a counterfeit?

            The peace of God functions according to the principle outlined in Colossians 3:15—“let the peace of God rule in your hearts.

            It is to act as umpire.

            What happens when you argue with the umpire?

1. THE PEACE OF GOD IS NOT AN ABSENCE OF DISTURBANCE.
1. How we blame circumstances:

1. The peace of God is not dependent upon circumstances.

2.      THE PEACE OF GOD IS A SUPERNATURAL REST IN THE MIDST OF SURROUNDING UNREST.

1. We must first be changed.  

1. We must make peace with God.  

1. Our behavior and attitudes affect our peace with God. 1.      1 Peter 3:7

2.      Jams your spiritual radar.

1. Must be obedient to His Word. 1.      Isa. 48:18, 22

1. Love is another condition for peace 1.      Psalms 119:165
