The prophet Zechariah said, “Not by might, nor by power but by My Spirit saith the Lord.”
The Purpose of Oil in a Machine Shop:
Relieves friction
Keeps the machinery from overheating.
Causes the machinery to run smoothly.
A. Where the Holy Spirit is present and honored and recognized, all will run smoothly and harmoniously.

A. All that Jesus ever did was through the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

A. A need for Fervor in the work of the Lord.
It is essential in the Christian life and the Christian ministry to posses both a human fervor and a spiritual fervor.

Gumption means spunk, ambition, aggression, and quick action. Time is running out for the work of the Lord to be done. We must put our whole will, heart and strength into what God has called us to do.
A. What has God called you to do? What is in your hand? Use the gift that God has put in your hand for His glory and do it with all your might.
B. Talents - everyone has at least one talent. Do you like the work you are in? Then do it with all your might to the glory of God.

“The Holy Spirit is very tender, patient, and loving. Without this tenderness, men are cold, harsh, set, and cynical.”
When ever we become demanding and unkind and rough in how we talk and our attitudes, you know that you are not doing your work under the Unction or Anointing of the Lord. If we began to make smart comments to each other with a hint of a jab you know that the Holy Spirit is not working through you.

The holy anointing oil with which the Lord had Mosses anoint Aaron was a beautiful smelling perfume. This gave the high priest, the priests, and everyone anointed with it a fragrance which everyone who came close enough knew that they had the Lord’s anointing.
