I. In Him We Have Redemption (v. 7).

II. In Him We Have Forgiveness (v. 7).

III. In Him We Have Enlightenment (vv. 8–10).

IV. In Him We Have an Inheritance (vv. 11, 12).

The Three-fold Ministry of the Holy Spirit (13,14)

I. He Saved Us (v. 13).

A. “Ye heard.”

B. “Ye believed.”

II. He Sealed Us (v. 13).

A. A seal is a mark of authenticity or genuineness (2 Cor. 3:3).

B. A seal is a mark of ownership (Rom. 8:9).

III. He Secured Us (v. 14).

A. The Spirit is the “earnest” of the inheritance.
