The Apostle Paul prayed that everyone might come to believe in Jesus as strongly as he did. While he was named Saul, with the knowledge about God he gained from the pharisees, he did everything in his power to live a life that pleased God. Then Jesus spoke to him in power and truth, and he found out what God actually wanted from his life. He sought to meet that expectation with as much zeal as when he was following the selfish leadership of the spiritual leaders of his day. Renamed Paul by Christ, spreading the Gospel wherever he went, he often wrote back to groups of Christians he had met, to admonish and applaud as needed (this is discipleship, by the way). This prayer that he prays for our ‘inner man’ is just as relevant today, if not more, as when it was written. Ephesians 3:14–21; Ephesians 6:10-20; Genesis 15:1-6; Proverbs 4:20-23; Ephesians 4-6
