When Christ returned to heaven, He authorized leadership for His Church to go forth in the power of the name of Jesus. This spiritual power not only was able to address hopeless brokenness and arrogant usurpation, but even more potently the hidden agendas of the heart. In today’s passage, we see how God’s power exposed the ugliness lurking beneath the surface of a good deed. As a result of this divine display of power, we see the harvest of God’s people recognizing an “active presence” of God!
