2 Chronicles 16:9
Text 2 Chro 14-20
Story of two kings in Judah that spans 61 years. Both were good kings. They brought Judah back to God. We are going to examine what it is to seek God.
Overview-
Asa- 2 Chro 14:2-6
v2 DID what was good and right
v4 COMMANDED to seek God
v4 OBSERVE the law
v5 REMOVED areas of idol worship
RESULT= v6 REST
Jehoshaphat- II Chronicles 17:3-6
v3 WALKED in the way
v4 SOUGHT God
v4 WALKED in His commandments
v6 DELIGHTED in His ways
v6 REMOVED areas of idol worship
RESULT= v5 Presents, riches and honor

What does it mean to seek God?
Seek- A desire to find something
Key- to have a desire to find something we must believe in what we are seeking and that it can be found.
What does seeking God look like?
Must believe
Make the hard choices 2 Chro 15:12-13
sometime we need to cut off certain friends or activities
3. Be obedient to what we know God has asked 2 Chro 17:4
tithe, study, love, gather together
4. We will have a desire to learn 2 Chro 17:7-9
5. In times of trouble turn to Him…not the world 2 Chro 15:4

Asa- 2 Chronicles 16:7-12
Jehoshaphat-
2 Chro 18:1-6
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Therefore the wrath of the Lord is upon you. Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”
