Last Week

chapter 1
What do I say when asked why I’m a Christian?
I grow and I grow the kingdom

This Week

chapter 2
What it does not mean to be a Christian
It is shocking how easy it is to get it wrong and to fall into one of these categories we would never think we fall into

Myths

This is not a myth or a story of a reason why we believe something and live a better way
He is not a God of Greece/Rome
He is not the Buddha
Peter lived this, he saw it all personally
This is not a dead god, this is not a story, this is a God who humbled himself to become a man and there are witnesses who can’t help but keep furthering his kingdom

False Prophets

There always have been and always will be those who take the truth and twist it
So many different things that claimed to stem from Christianity which really had nothing to do with it
The same is very true today
Denying the Master who bought them; if you really wear that name, you know whose you are and you live like it, in the TRUTH

Slaves

Things that are worthless and/or don’t have much constitution
They promise freedom but really they are enslaved
What are you overcome with? Literally translated, defeated, made inferior, worsened
Falling away

Why I’m a Christian 2

There are so many people and things and wants and desires and all of them stemming from my own or someone else’s greed that seek to overcome me
I can’t defeat sin on my own
I am a Christian and that means the one who has overcome sin and death lives in me and because of him I have life
