Every week bread would be specially baked and laid before God. This was called the bread of the presence (12 cakes of bread) and is there as a memorial - reminding the people of the time in the wilderness when they received mana from God (bread from heaven). Leviticus 21:21-22
This is the bread he is referring to bread that will sustain - the bread of life
In the tabernacle the bread was found alongside the incense which represents prayer. You won’t find the bread of life without prayer in your own life.
