Mark 1:29–45 KJV 1900
And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
Introduction.
(Meeting with deacons after service)
(JT Hise Birthday, Mom Birthday)
Young man and the fisherman. Can a man see God?
27 That’s how you see God is when you get God inside of you. Let Him look through your eyes.
That’s how you’ll work for God, when God can use your hands, use your feet, use your lips, use your tongue, use your ears, use your eyes. God, in you, sees God on the outside.     60-0731 - Show Us The Father And It Will Satisfy Us
Quote from Wednesday night.
161 How could I tell a man what was wrong with him? How could I tell him what his future will be, ten years, or what he was forty years ago? It isn’t me. Hallelujah! It’s Him that lives in me.
That come down and, through His Blood, brought me in fellowship with Him. Hallelujah! How could my hands do anything, by healing the sick?
It hasn’t got a bit of power. It’s not me. But it’s Him, that dwells in here, that does it.
162 How could this man preach the Gospel? He can’t preach no Gospel; there’s nothing in him to do it with. He’s a sinner by nature.
But God come down and dwelt in him, made him a son of God, and he preached the Gospel. Why does he believe the Word? Because the very God, that made the Word, is preaching right through him.
163 How I see it! Do you see it? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] There it is. The very God, that wrote the Word, is in the man, saying, “That’s the Truth.
I don’t care what anybody says. That’s the Truth.” There it is. [Brother Branham snaps his finger once.] God, in the man, recognizes His Own Word. Hallelujah! That settles it. God, in here!
54-1212 - He Swore By Himself
We are the body of Christ.
Ephesians 1:15–23 KJV 1900
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
59 Now, this is actually…This morning was more of the sermon type, placing the foundation upon the Deity, of the Revelation; God being revealed in Christ.
How many believes It? God was revealed in Christ, Jehovah revealed in Christ. Now where’s God to be revealed? In His Church, with His people, in us.
The same Spirit, the same works, the same manifestation, the same love, the same forgiveness, the same longsuffering, gentleness, patience, peace, mercy, all that was in Christ is in the Church.
Remember, keep this in mind: all that God was He poured into Christ (He was the fulness of the Godhead bodily), and all that Christ was He poured into the Church.
God above us, God with us, God in us. The triunity of God, God manifested in three different manners: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.     60-1204E - The Patmos Vision
We are His body He built to live in, on the earth.
If we can see what God did through the man Jesus Christ, we can see what He wants to do through us.
His Hands
With His hands, He touched.
Matthew 8:3 KJV 1900
And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:15 KJV 1900
And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
Mark 7:31–37 KJV 1900
And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis. And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it; And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
Luke 7:11–15 KJV 1900
And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
20 Remember, Jesus (as we had in the lesson this morning), He never used His power for Himself, He used it for others. That’s what it was sent for.
And you think sometime, “Why would a Man that was so full of power, like Him, would have ever be sick?” Yes, sir.
I’ve read in some book, somewhere, where when He raised up that boy, the widow’s son from Nain (I believe, The Prince of the House of David), that He set on a rock and groaned with a headache. See?
He bore our infirmity. Bear means “to pack them.” See, He bore. And He had all things in…like we have.
63-0825E Perfect Faith
His hands were pierced for our salvation.
He used those pierced hands to cook fish for his disciples.
(Tell story from John 21)
How could He use our hands?
2. His Feet
With His feet, He walked.
Matthew 4:18–19 KJV 1900
And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
He walked on the water.
Matthew 14:25–29 KJV 1900
And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
He “must needs” walk through Samaria, and sit down at Jacob’s well.
He walked to Simon Pharisee’s house, where His feet went unwashed, so He could be anointed by a prostitute and change her life.
How could we be His feet today?
3. His Eyes
With His eyes, He looked.
Matthew 14:14–20 KJV 1900
And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. He said, Bring them hither to me. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
He saw faith
Mark 2:5 KJV 1900
When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
He saw little children.
Mark 10:14 KJV 1900
But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
He saw Zacchaeus in the tree.
He saw a woman taken in adultery, and He saw more than her current condition.
John 8:10 KJV 1900
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
John 8:11 KJV 1900
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
He looked at the rich young ruler and loved him, but the ruler looked at his riches and went to hell.
Mark 10:21 KJV 1900
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
With His eyes, he cried.
How should His eyes look today?
4. His Lips
With His Lips He spoke, and sometimes didn’t speak.
He spoke to the storm, and nature obeyed. But He never spoke idly.
Matthew 12:36–37 KJV 1900
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
The Word was a Man of few Words.
Isaiah 53:7 KJV 1900
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, Yet he opened not his mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, So he openeth not his mouth.
Here he was. The devil looked at Him, said, “I wonder if that really is the Son of God? I wonder, is that just an ordinary prophet or is that the Son of God?”
He said, “If Thou be the Son of God, command these stones to be turned to bread.” See, he was really an intellectual boy. He really knowed what he was talking about.
But Jesus said, “It is written.”
Now, he taken Him up and kept trying to find out. One day he got Him in the gentile courts. And he kept wondering, “Could that be?” See?
God really pulled the wool over Satan’s eyes when that super Sign came. He didn’t know what He was. “How could Jehovah be borned in a manger?
How could Jehovah cry like a baby and wear swaddling’s cloth.” Why sure. He bypassed…Jesus was self-sacrifice of God.
45 I think the sweetest Scripture there is in all the Bible is this Scripture: “Father, I sanctify Myself because of them.” He was a man. He could’ve had a wife. He was a man.
He could’ve had a home, a place to lay His head. He’d had rights to that. He was a man. He could’ve had good clothes. He was a man. But what did He say, “Father, I sanctify Myself for their sake.”
What was He doing? He was training up twelve disciples that were going to preach the Gospel in all the world. He put an example.
And brethren, as ministers, I tell you it pays us, not to get too much of the world’s goods and things hanging around us. You preachers I’m talking to. Sanctify yourself for them that you’re going to lead.
That’s what we need today, is a complete consecrated, sanctified life of ministers, that walk upright before God, does not entangle with the things of the world.
Keep away from it. “Father, I sanctify Myself for their sake.” For—not because He had to do it—but He did it for their sake.
46 Now, when the Romans put a rag around his face, and they knowed He could see visions, so they hit Him on top of the head with a stick and said, “Tell us, who hit You.
If you’re a prophet, tell us who hit You. Now, we’re going to believe You.” But He opened not His mouth. See the wisdom of God?
That’d been and ordinary prophet he’d a boiled loose there or something, but He was God; He knowed what to do. He knowed who that was in them people.
60-0611B - Fellowship
160 Because I have found this, that a service that’s…It stands up, and the message is given in the power; if you go too far, you wear the people out and they don’t get it...
...The most successful speakers are those who have exactly…Jesus was a Man of few words, watch His sermons.     63-1226 - Church Order
How should His lips speak today!
5. His Ears
With His Ears, He listened.
He heard about John in prison.
Matthew 4:12 KJV 1900
Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
He did not begin His public ministry until John was imprisoned.
He heard gossip.
Mark 2:16–17 KJV 1900
And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
He heard the crowd cry “Hosannah” and then the same crowd cry “crucify him”.
He still hears His children cry!
Who do you listen to? Listen to those who listen.
Stand by your good pastor, Brother Neville, and the associate, Brother Capps. Listen to them. They’ll teach you the Word of Life. I believe that.
If I didn’t believe it, I certainly wouldn’t have them here. I certainly would not. I believe that they believe the Message, and they stay with it to the best of their knowledge, and I’ve got faith in both men. Stay with them.
These other brothers, around where they got their meeting, that stood here tonight, if you’re around their neighborhood, stand by them. You heard what they come here for, tonight.     65-0418E - Does God Ever Change His Mind About His Word?
Conclusion.
James 5:16 KJV 1900
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
God with skin on it.
Pray one for another.
