Hungry for You Lord | Hambriento de Ti Senor

Today, we begin a series designed to show you what happens when God shows up. I am really excited about this series and I have been looking forward to this for quite some time.
Over the course of this fall sermon series, we will see ordinary people walk in the presence God. There is a time when the Lord prompts us to seek Him to get Hungry for Him because there is something great He wants to do in us and through us.
What are you hungry for, what do you desire the most. there are many examples of people that were so hungry for God that they were willing to leave everything tp please the Lord
- Jacob fought and tricked his brother to get the blessing
David, even after sinning he still new that the presence of God in his life was important
Abraham wanted a son but when the Lord asked him to sacrifice him, Abraham knew that Gods presence in his life was more important.
they all some thing in common; they were all HUNGRY for God and his presence.
Moses was another man that wanted to walk with the presence of God. The pResence of god is everything, changes everything.
Exodus 33:12–17 NIV
Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”
Exodus 33:12–17 (NVI)
ONLY HUNGRY PEOPLE EAT
lets look as some things in this scripture
vs 12 Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’but you have not let me know whom you will send with me.
The Lord Told me, Stop thinking about other people, just enjoy me
people cannot change us, but the presence of God changes everything.
Moses said Teach me your ways
where the spirit of the Lord is, There is freedom… Where God is, where He is present, there is freedom

1. The Problem | El Problema

As students of the Bible we understand that God is present everywhere, at all times. Omnipresent is the big word we use to describe this attribute of God. The psalmist affirmed the omnipresence of God:
Psalm 139:7–8 NIV
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
Psalm 139:7–8 NVI
“Where can I go to escape your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there” (Ps. 139:7-8).
The problem is this: if God is present everywhere, why do I sometimes feel He is so far away?

- We allow sin into our lives permitimos el pecado en nuestras vidas

We become so numb to sin that we walk thinking that God will allow us to get away from any sin that keeps creeping into our lives.
God is a lovable God but God is an enemy of sin. Just like Satan wants to destroy us so does God want to destroy any sins that dwells inside of us.
We forget that God is Omnipresence
It can be helpful in those times to understand the difference between God’s omnipresence and the manifest presence of God.
God’s omnipresence means He is always there—even when the awareness is not. His Holy Spirit indwells believers at all times.
God’s manifest presence, however, is something that occurs in our lives as He chooses to reveal Himself.
It is something that is sometimes experienced and other times not. Familiar examples of the manifest presence of God in Scripture include:
Jacob at Bethel (Gen. 28:15)
Moses at the burning bush (Ex. 3:2-6)
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace (Dan. 3:24-25)
The disciples in the storm (Matt. 14:22-27)
God is not only in the middle of your problems, he is right there when we sin, when we go against His will, when we disobey and take our own direction in life.
2. The Promise | Las Promesas
Genesis 28:15–16 NIV
I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”
Genesis 28:15–16 NVI
Yo estoy contigo.
The promise of Scripture is that God is always present with us. Nothing changes that fact; it is only our awareness that changes. God’s promise to Jacob was, “Look, I am with you …” (Gen. 28:15). Jacob’s reply? “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it” (v. 16, emphasis added).
Do we forget about God when we leave this place? ask your self this question. where does my time go. what do I seek the most on a daily basis the most.
God does so many things in our lives and sometimes we are not aware
This promise has been given to us: “I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matt. 28:20).
“He himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you” (Heb. 13:5).
So we know His presence is always there but am I walking in the presence of the Lord?
Believer, do not allow the darkness of the night or the presence of the storm cause you to doubt whether God is present and  working in your life. Indeed, the storms of life do not deny His presence but provide opportunity to prove His presence.
This is why we need to get passionate about His presence

3. His presence will bless your Future | Su presencia va a bendecir tu future

God is present with us to work out His will and purpose in us and through us. He promised His presence to Jacob not merely to bless Jacob, but that “all the peoples on earth” would be blessed through him and his offspring
Genesis 28:14 ESV
Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 28:14 NVI
the bible says That
He is “working in us what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever” (Heb. 13:21).
It’s one thing to take comfort in the promise of God’s presence,
it’s a greater thing to live and walk in His presence by choosing to align ourselves with His purposes.
It’s been said that the essence of the Christian life is to live all of life in the awareness of God’s presence, under His authority, and for His glory. That’s the life I want.
Will you take sometime when you leave this place to seek His presence, fall in love with the Holy spirit. How Talk to him daily and allow him to be part of your day
