The Believers Walk in Challenging Times
I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Koinonia & Kingdom: Fellowship and Participation with Jesus in our daily lives
The message of Jesus doesn’t come without cost
The message of the Gospel can land you in precarious circumstances
The message of the Gospel is the Power of God: to evangelize and steward the world.
Church and Society
-Opposition: Christ against culture
-Contradiction: Christ in conflict with culture
-Reformation: Christ as the transformer of culture
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Salvation is by FAITH alone! FAITH alone saves us! Outside of FAITH there is no Salvation!
Knowing Jesus is Experiential rather than Philosophy!
Knowing Jesus is Participation rather than Observation!
Knowing Jesus is loss rather than gain!
Knowing Jesus is an ongoing process.
