Introduction

God as Creator and Father of Humankind

In an article found in Pew Research JULIANA MENASCE HOROWITZ writes, As the United States becomes more racially and ethnically diverse, and as companies from Wall Street to Silicon Valley grapple with how to build workforces that reflect these changing demographics, she reports that “Americans have a complicated, even contradictory, set of views about the impact of diversity and the best way to achieve it.

Most say it’s a good thing that the country has a diverse population, but many also say this introduces its own set of challenges. And while a majority values workplace diversity, few endorse the idea of taking race or ethnicity into consideration in hiring and promotions, according to this New Pew Research Center survey. https://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2019/05/08/americans-see-advantages-and-challenges-in-countrys-growing-racial-and-ethnic-diversity/

Does the church have a solution for this challenge?

How can we grapple with this complicated, and contradictory reality of our racially and ethnically diverse culture we find in our churches? Can there be harmony among the racial and ethnic groups in our churches. Can there be peaceful integration in our worship service and unity in diversity in our churches here in northeastern conference, and even in our congregation here at mt. Of olives?

How then can we foster this harmony, integration, and unity among our congregations?

Acts 17:22-30

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
