Paul first visit was during his second missionary trip Acts 18:19-21 for a short duration

Paul’s second trip to Ephesus was on his third missionary journey Acts 19:1-20 lasted 2 yrs and 3 months

Ephesians 1:1-2

1:1-2 greeting -we see who the head of the church is

we also see God's intervention

Vs 1 we see the authorship and to whom it was written.

Vs 2 we see his usual greetings

Eph 1:3-6

Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly place in Christ

We were given spiritual blessings (gifts)

We were chosen

To be holy and without blame before him

We were predestined to be adopted as sons by Jesus

according to his pleasure

Predestined in the sence of "all those who accept God's plan of salvation he made in Genesis 3:15

, Jesus are predestined to for eternal life

Eph 1:7-12

In Christ we have

redemption by his blood

forgiveness of sins

according to riches of his grace

Which he lavished on us with wisdom and prudence (understanding)

Made known to us his mystery (Jesus Christ) salvation thru him

sealed IN CHRIST by the Holy Spirit of promise

see Acts 2:38-39

Eph 1:14 is the guarantee (down payment,deposit) of our inheritance until we are redeemed. Die and called up to heaven
