Introduction

2 Timothy 3:1–7 NASB95
1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3:1–7 UBS5
The days described by Paul are here.
Notice these lists:

Romans 1:28–32 NASB95
28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

This is in the church.
It is in the church because it is in the world.
It is in the world because it is in the prince of the world, Satan.
How can the church get to this point?
2 Timothy 4:1–4 NASB95
1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
And, in what way can this get into the church?
False leadership hired by false churches.
I want to introduce the concepts that are going to shape this little series.
A departure from the concept of fact as truth.
Talking, idea-making, “conversations,” are all true.
Truth itself is to removed from vocabulary.
A departure from the concept of truth as vital.
If we can remove “truth,” then the value of it is gone as well.
Therefore, we must replace the concept of “truth” with other concepts.
A departure from the concept of the vitality of truth as the lifeblood of the church.
If truth is removed, and its vitality is replaced with other concepts based upon conversation, then the CONVERSATION becomes the lifeblood of the church.
Once that occurs, the church dies.
The teachings of Critical Race Theory (CRT) have been building the foundation of the modern church since the early 1800’s.
Men of God have been fighting this push since then.
They have been fighting it at the scholarship level primarily.
Now, however, it is in the church level because of its’ full bloom in the Western society in which we live.
Therefore, in order to see it, we must rebuild the foundations to the household of God.
To see how far this has reached, look at this list (https://biblethumpingwingnut.com/2019/06/16/social-justice/ site accessed 8/1/2021).

Pastor Paul Tripp Mark Dever of Capitol Hill Baptist Church and 9Marks.  Russell Moore the President of ERLC.  Jonathan Leeman of 9Marks.   Thabiti Anywabili, Pastor of Anacostia River Church.  David Platt, Pastor of McLean Bible Church.  Matthew Hall, Dean of Boyce College.  John Onwuchekwa, Pastor of Cornerstone Church Curtis Wood of SBTS Jarvis Williams of SBTS Matt Chandler, Pastor of The Village Church.  Danny Aikin, President of SEBTS.   J.D. Greear, Pastor of The Summit Church and SBC President.

If you recognize these names, you will know that they hold a large share of the attention of the church today.
Thus, those men who have opened the door to this teaching are, in large measure, opening the door to the corruptions identified in 2 Timothy 4.
We will address these issues in this order:
