Entering the Delta Sky Lounge, you must scan your boarding pass and swipe an Amex card. On this occasion, there were several people checking-in. As the Delta attendant checked me in, she looked at me and said, “You’re not non-rev, flying standby are you?” Before I understood the question, my info showed on her screen. She answered, “No, you’re not (as if surprised)” and proceeded to provide me with flight info. I thought her question peculiar but later realized it was presumptive. There was a microaggression in her assumption.
