I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under god, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag, and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands, one brotherhood uniting all Christians in service and love.
I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word, and will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, and hide its words in my heart that I may not sin against God.
Motto: Jesus! Our strong foundation.
Theme Verse: Philippians 1:6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
Welcome to the very first worship rally for this year’s VBS! I am Bro. George and you can just call me Bro. George. The worship rally is where we will start each day. After you leave here some will be staying in here for Bible Study, and some will go to crafts, some to recreation with fun and games and some to the extended session that you are just going to love and still others will be going to missions. Along the way you will have a crew foreman (adult) to show you where to go so be sure and stay with your crew foreman and listen to them. Before the work day is over here at concrete and cranes each of you will get to do all of those things. But most importantly you will learn to understand that Jesus love is the foundation that everything good is built on. The Bible teaches us that Jesus’ love provides the that will last – a foundation of love, of forgiveness, of worth, of promise, a foundation for life!
Everything we do today and every day at VBS will help us build our lives on Jesus. John 15:9 says “As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you. Remain in My love.” I hope you are as excited as I am about learning about Jesus at VBS this week.
Each day we will be taking up an offering. This year our offering will go to the Missouri Baptist Children’s home to help the kids that can’t live with their parents for a while. The boys have a bucket with a blue marker on it and the girls have a bucket with a pink marker on it. Which bucket do the boys put their offering in? Which bucket do the girls put their bucket in? At the end of the week who is going to have the most money? Boys! Or Girls?
