2 Samuel 22 1-30

Talk about vacation. The relaxation, the giving God praise for a time of rest.
Read 1-4
Understanding how David was feeling. It was an ending to a very stressfull time. David knew his place in the Kingdom, under the wing of God.
Read 5-7
David describes how he was feeling from real life experiences. Life can overwhelm us. Just like David we need to take the feelings we have to God not just the situations.
Read 8-16
Look at the description of David gives of God. He attributes God his power and majesty and might in comparrison to his own weakness and vulnerability.
Read 17-20
God is kind. Share how I can see God’s kindness in my life. Being back in Cambridge, Being able to look after my Mom, being able to be close to all my kids and grandkids, a wonderful husband, an incredible partner, an awesome board of both church and Freedom Centre. Amazing people to do life with. The open doors for ministry. Do you see the kindness of God in your life?

David list the reasons why God would be so kind to him.
I like that David list the first thing as , the Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.” David knew the most important thing, above anything else, he knew he was a sinner in need of salvation and salvation was from the Lord. Then he goes on to show there is something required of him in this relationship. He has a part to play. If David has a part to play then we certainly have a part to play. and David laid it out here for us.

David is so excited because he knows his own limititation but in God’s strength he can do anything.
This is a good place for us to land this morning.
When I think of Freedom Centre, and what God is doing in our midst, I see our limitations but I know what God is capable of.
