What makes God mad in Jeremiah?
Offerings to other Gods (Jer 1:16)
Priests did not know God through the law/didn’t teach the law? (Jer 1:8)
Priests and prophets honored/worshiped Baal (Jer 1:8)
Forsaken God as the fountain of living water , God as true God(Jer 1:13a)
Hewed out cracked cisterns for themselves that hold no water, turned to idols (Jer 1:13b)
Bowed like on a whore on every high place/green tree (Jer 1:20)
Went after the Baals like donkeys/camels in heat (Jer 1:24)
Worshiped the creation rather than the creator (Jer 1:27)
Turned to God when they were really in danger, knew he had real power (Jer 1:27-28)
Exploited the innocent poor, the blood of the poor on their skirts, and thought they’d get away with it (Jer 1:34)
Played the whore with other Gods while married to YHWH (Jer 3:1-5)
Forgotten the Lord and went after other Gods (Jer 3:21-25)
Brought detestable things into God’s presence, i.e. idols (Jer 4:1)
Rebellion against God (Jer 4:17)
The leaders broke the yoke of the Lord , not the :ignorant” poor (Jer 5:5)
Coveting/lusting after their neighbor’s wives (Jer 5:8)
They believed they were gonna get away with it, that God is not just (Jer 5:12-13)

They deprive orphans and needy of God’s justice (Jer 5:28-29)
Prophets prophesy falsely, letting the people get away with it. They say this is ok (Jer 5:31)
The cannot/do not listen to the word of God (Jer 6:10)
The word of the Lord is to them an object of scorn with no pleasure in it (Jer 6:10)
Everyone is greedy for unjust gain (Jer 6:13)
Everyone deals falsely even the priests, prophets, and leaders (Jer 6:13)
They say “peace, peace,” when there is no peace, saying everything is fine (Jer 6:14)
Not ashamed at all of what they had done, they “this is fine”’d themselves into thinking this was ok (Jer 6:15)
They have not paid attention to God’s words and have rejected them (Jer 6:19)
They did not “execute justice one with another,” they oppress[ed] the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, [and] shed innocent blood in this place” (Jer 7:5-6)
They stole, murdered, committed adultery, swore falsely, made offerings to Baal, and went after foreign Gods and then said “God is on our side” (Jer 7:8)
They did not obey or inclined their ears, but walked in their own counsels and the stubbornness of their evil hearts (Jer 7:24)
They refused to listen to God’s warnings to them, but got more stubborn (Jer 7:25-26)
They set up idols in the Temple (Jer 7:31)
Built places to sacrifice their children (Jer 7:31-32)
They hold fast to deceit refusing to return (Jer 8:5)
No one has any repentance, even sorrow for the things they’ve done (Jer 8:6)
They do not know the commands of God (Jer 8:7)
They have rejected the word of the Lord (Jer 8:9)
Everyone is greedy for unjust gain and deals falsely (Jer 8:10)
Peace, peace when there is no peace (Jer 8:11)
No shame in their abominations (Jer 8:12)
Carved idols and worshiped foreign gods (Jer 8:19)
Adulterers, treacherous people (Jer 9:2)
Falsehood, lying, proceeding from evil to evil, and do not know the Lord (Jer 9:3)
Deceiving their neighbor (Jer 9:4)
Slandering their neighbors (Jer 9:4)
No one speaks truth (Jer 9:5)
They weary themselves with committing sin (Jer 9:5)
Refuse to know God by piling oppression on oppression and deceit on deceit (Jer 9:6)
Their tongues are like deadly arrows of deceit (Jer 9:8)
Speaking nicely to neighbors but planning an ambush for them, duplicity (Jer 9:8)
They have forsaken God’s law, not obeyed his voice, or walked in accord with it (Jer 9:13)
Followed their own hearts and the Baals (Jer 9:14)
Generational idolatry, arrogance, and disobedience (Jer 9:14)
Vain, foolish, stupid idolatry (Jer 10:1-5)
The shepherds/leaders are stupid and do not inquire of the Lord (Jer 10:21)
Stubborn disobedience, ignoring the words of the prophet (Jer 11:7-8)
Turned back to the idolatry of their forefathers (Jer 11:10)
Broke the covenant God made with their ancestors (Jer 11:10)
Family deals treacherously (Jer 12:6)
Duplicitous, seeming friendly and yet out to get him (Jer 12:6)
Pridefully reuse to hear God’s words, follow their own heart, and go after false gods (Jer 13:10)
Prophets are prophesying lies in the name of God (Jer 14:14-15)
They rejected God (Jer 15:6)
Because your fathers have forsaken me... and have gone after other gods and have served and worshiped them, and have forsaken me and have not kept my law, and because you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, every one of you follows his stubborn, evil will, refusing to listen to me. (Jer 16:11–12)
Honor the Sabbath//make it not all about money (Jer 17:20-23)
They say, we will follow our own plans and we will all act according to the stubbornness of our evil hearts (Jer 18:12)
Made offerings to false gods (Jer 18:15)
Made offerings to others gods neither they nor their fathers knew (Jer 19:4)
Filled Judah with the blood of innocents by burning their children as offerings to Baal (Jer 19:5)
They stiffened their necks, refusing to hear God’s words (Jer 19:15)
