And They Prayed
The Apostles prayed, Acts 1:24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, that they may take part of this ministry and apostleship
Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
· Genesis 20:17 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
· Numbers 11:2 And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.
· Numbers 21:7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
· Deuteronomy 9:20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
· Deuteronomy 9:26 I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

Abraham prayed, Moses prayed, Hannah prayed, Samuel prayed, Elijah prayed, Elisha prayed, Hezekiah prayed, Isaiah prayed, Ezra prayed, Nehemiah prayed, Job prayed, Jeremiah prayed, Daniel prayed, Jonah prayed, and the Lord Jesus Himself prayed. And amazingly, GOD answered their prayers.
Should we not also pray? Of course, we should pray!
Pray for:
· The leadership to have a heart for God and for praying
· The people to have a heart for God and for praying
· Those that are not here and could be that God would become the priority of their life.
· Pray for a vision for the Church
o Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish:
· Pray for God to show us how to pray and what to pray for
· Pray for God to reveal Himself to us
· Pray for God to send workers and labourer’s
· Pray for God to send the Rain; to stir the hearts, and breath on the people of this church
· Pray for the Pastor to be Holy Ghost filled and anointed that I might speak boldly the word of God
· Pray for God to grow this church whose doors He has kept open for 73 years now
Now, your turn. What do you think we should be praying about?
