Faith Sheet:
1. What mistaken impressions do people have of Jesus today? How can they get a more accurate understanding of Him through seeing us?
2. What has been most transformed in your life since following Jesus? In your family? In your church over the last few years?
3. In what sense was Jesus changed in the transfiguration, and in what sense was He unchanged? (Philippians 2:5-11)
4. What is the significance of the cloud of glory coming upon the mountain? See these passages to better understand what is being shown about Jesus. (2 Chronicles 5:14 & 7:1, Exodus 40:34, Ezekiel 1:28 & 10:4, Matthew 24:30 and 1 Thessalonians 4:17)
5. What do you suppose Peter was thinking or feeling when he suggested building three shelters? Why might he want to stay on the mountain and not go back down into the valley? (Matthew 16:21-23)
6. How does the command to listen to Jesus over Moses or Elijah, affect our view of Jesus fulfilling the Old Testament? (Hebrews 1:1-3)
